Beauty, to me, is about being comfortable in your own skin. That, or a kick-ass red lipstick. ~Gwyneth Paltrow
Today’s Top 10 is all about red lipstick just in time for Valentine’s Day! A red lip is the quintessential standard of beauty, allure and sexiness. I adore the look of a strong red lip– it literally portrays strength, confidence and power: the woman’s equivalent of a man’s red “power tie”!
One of my New Year’s Resolutions was to face my fear of red lipstick and get more comfortable wearing it. These reds are helping me to do just that!
Too Faced La Créme Lipstick in Jelly Bean – My newest red acquisition. This glossy raspberry red can be applied sheerly or built up for more drama. It leaves a slight stain too which is nice! See my full review here.
IT Cosmetics Vitality Butter Gloss in Ruby Slippers - a sheer red with golden shimmer–really beautiful and easy to wear! These glosses wear for hours!! I always get compliments when I wear this, increasing my “red” confidence! See full review here.
tarte LipSurgence Power Pigments - newly reformulated, LipSurgence Power Pigments have punched-up color and vibrant shine. They also deliver a burst of pure moisture to hydrate lips with the signature minty fresh taste. Natural Beauty is a beautiful and easy to wear red. Read my full review here.
SENNA Ruby Cream Lipstick – is a deep wine, but definitely looks more like a deep berry on my lips. SENNA lipsticks out rival plenty of more expensive luxury brand lipsticks. Read my full review here.
Shiseido Shimmering Rouge in RD 320 – is a deep reddish brown with a hint of copper. Normally browns on my lips don’t look so great but it’s the warm copper undertone that makes this one work. Read my full review here.
Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in #69 – Urban Decay describes these lipsticks as “creamy, badass luxury” and I have to agree. 69 is a bright red with a pink undertone and will make sure you get noticed!
BECCA Ultimate Gloss in Hotel California – another raspberry red, this gloss delivers a punch of color rather than just shine.
As you can see, the majority of these reds are sheer, I’m excited to see what our other bloggers have chosen, they always create a must have list for me!Pin It
