Review, Pics and Swatches: Three Custom Color Specialists: Daytime Drama Collection

Three Custom Color Specialists has recently released their Daytime Drama Palette ($74), which provides a pretty 5-minute face. Jim DeMarco, Emmy Award Winning-makeup artist on One Life To Live has collaborated with Three Custom Color to create an easy-peasy palette  suitable for everyone.  However, with all cream products, this goof-proof  palette is perfect for us over 40 women! Cream products help us get back the youthful glow and leave us looking “dewy” not “dusty.”

You get five highly wearable and versatile shades in a refillable compact. I love the 3CC packaging–the stylish gunmetal compact includes three refillable wells, a full size mirror and a double ended brush.

Included in the palette:

Close Up Cream Eye Definer– a rich, dark coffee brown creme liner that is super soft to allow for smudging or creating an awesome smoky eye. The slim side of the double ended brush is ideal for lining the eyes. Love the texture of this, so creamy yet no raccoon eye!

Siren– a long wearing lustrous bronze cream for the eyes. Y’all know how much I love mah bronze shadows! This one is lighter than most I have and makes eyes glow. Use the Close Up Eye Definer and draw a thick winged line to create that classic Hollywood Glam look without the harshness of black.

Red Carpet Lip & Cheek Stain– a reddish mauve that will flatter any skin tone. I apply either with fingertips or with a good duo fiber for a natural flush. This is definitely buildable for beauties with a darker skin tone than me.

Back Lit – a gorgeous opalescent champagne highlighter with the same fabulous texture as 3CC’s Cream to Powder Blushes.  It’s creamy, but when it touches your face it turns to a powdery texture that melts into your skin. Use on the inner corner of the eyes, tops of the cheekbones, on the brow bone, cupids bow.  Although this is shimmery, it is not glaring–it imparts a subtle candlelit glow–very pretty and feminine.

Camera Ready Lip Gloss – a pretty iridescent peachy gloss for the finishing touch!

L to R: Close Up Creme Liner, Siren Eye Shadow, Red Carpet Lip & Cheek Stain, Back Lit Highlighter & Camera Ready Lip Gloss.

Bottom Line:  I love me some no-brainer makeup! You have everything you need in this palette sans foundation and mascara. The lovely compact is both sturdy and travel-worthy. I love the fresh and pretty look this palette delivers!
