In the world of cosmetics, seasons don’t follow nature or the calendar. Some brands were launching their spring collection is November and some began touting their summer collections back in February. Now we’re into April and the summer offerings are in full swing. Here in the Pacific Northwest spring is arriving sporadically but that hasn’t stopped me from sporting warmer weather looks.
The Spring Makeup Collections for 2013 took us on a journey of sorts so jump on board with me and let’s review the best of the spring offerings!
The Shiseido Spring 2013 Collection took us to Sullivan’s Island in South Carolina. These beautiful and unique eye shadow colors were inspired by beach grass. Read my full review here.
Laura Mercier took us on an outing to the ballet with the Arabesque Spring 2013 Collection. Soft and feminine ballerina looks abound in this collection. Read my review here.
Make Up For Ever took back to The Land of Oz with their Technicolor Eye Shadow Palette. Don’t be afraid, I show you how to work with brights in this post.
Back to reality, Anastasia of Beverly Hills takes us on field trip to the library with their Bold and Beautiful Palette. It’s actually a collection of two palettes–one eye shadow and one brow palette. If you love neutrals that are fabulous for everyday, you’ll want to read my review of these palettes here.
We don’t even need to leave the house for these next two collections. The Too Faced Spring Collection took us to the Boudoir oh la la! with the Boudoir Eye Shadow Collection! This palette has 9 eye shadow shades with 5 new colors for either sexy or soft looks. See my full review here.
Also from Too Faced is the soft and romantic Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush.
Estee Lauder got a bit wild with their spring collection called Pretty Naughty. I reviewed the charming Pretty Naughty 5 color eye shadow palette with it’s lovely pastel colors.
Speaking of romance, the Lancome In Love Collection has plenty of it with it’s soft shades interspersed with pops of color. This has to be one of my personal favorites of the season, read my full review here. Jade Crush eyeliner is amazing!
For the next two spring collections we are stepping into a time machine. First we’ll go back to the 80′s with Bare Escentuals ReMix Collection. The blush in shade Natural is what I always wanted NARS Orgasm to be. Read my review here. There are also some very nice new Loud and Clear hydrating lip sheers.
Turning up the dial on the Way Back machine all the way to the 50′s, we take a look at the Estee Lauder Limited Edition Mad Men Collection. The packaging is a fabulous 1960′s inspired print and the pink shades are universally flattering. See my review here.
Smashbox wants you to Be Legendary with their Love Me Collection. The Entice Me Eye Shadow Palette has such a beautiful combination of shades and the bright lipstick Tempt Me brightens the face perfectly. See the eye shadow review here and the lipstick review here.
