Turn up the meow factor with Tarte’s call of the wild Amazonian clay 8-shadow collector’s palette – a fearless and sophisticated eye shadow palette featuring nature’s most perfect ingredient: Amazonian clay. This purr-fectly portable palette, inspired by the wild side of the Amazon rainforest, is emblazoned with a bold spotted animal print and gold etched luxe black patent leather.
Includes 8 brand new shades Tarte Amazonian Clay Eye Shadows in:
The palette has five shimmer and three matte shades making it a good mix for multiple looks. The eye shadows are soft and blendable, however they are not as pigmented as other Tarte shadows. You will definitely need to use an eye primer and layer a bit more than you may be accustomed to. I really do like the shades though and the combinations you can come up with. I do like the mix of both warm and cool shades–it makes this palette suitable for all skin tones.
Packaging is a patent-leather like glossy black on the front and back with a textured animal print on the inside. It’s good quality and fairly hefty. A full size mirror is included-a feature I always appreciate. I haven’t the chance to travel with this or carry it in my bag, but it seems like it should hold up fairly well.
The second piece of Tarte’s Call of the Wild collection is the Amazonian Clay emphasEYES Waterproof Liner. It’s a black gel waterproof eyeliner in a cute animal print jar. The double sided brush has one side that is bent and one that is straight.
Tarte’s gel liners have excellent pigment and are both budge and smudge proof.
The Call of the Wild Collection is available exclusively at Ulta and Ulta.com.
