Easter and Passover are done for this year, but pastels rule spring at least in nail trends. I chose three pastel colors to embrace the trend. Please excuse my horrible cuticles-bleh.
First up is OPI Can’t Find My Czechbook from the Euro Centrale Collection. I typically have bad luck with blues, most look awful with my skin tone. I was very pleased that wasn’t the case with Can’t Find My Czechbook. It’s more of an aqua than a baby blue so I can wear it. It has a cream finish and a fairly thick texture. This is two coats.
butterLONDON Fiver is a minty pastel green creme from the Sweetie Shop Collection. I love how fresh and feminine it makes me feel. You will need at least three coats to get an opaque finish. I found the formula to be rather streaky which is another reason more coats are needed. I do really love this shade for spring and summer though. I used Fiver on an accent nail only in this look.
Pixi Luminous Lilac is from last spring’s collection but is still ideal for spring. It’s lilac with strong pink undertones and a very subtle shimmer. It’s very pale and almost blends in with my skin tone. This is two coats. I find it to be very chic and a nice balance if I’m wearing bright summer clothes. I bought this and two other Pixi polishes on Hautelook for only $3! It’s a fantastic discount site now owned by Nordstrom. Need an invite? Click here.
This weeks mani is also an older polish from OPI, Japanese Rose Garden–a mid-pink with subtle shimmer that is universally flattering. This is NOT a bubble gum pink, it’s sophisticated and classy. Japanese Rose Garden has a pretty mauve undertone.
What are you wearing on your nails this spring? Any suggestions for me?
