SpaRitual Fall 2010 Nail Polish Collection

The Imagine Collection for Fall 2010 from SpaRitual encompasses rich, atmospheric hues that are on trend for fall and combines them with some surprising transitional shades; add in a few foil effects and you have a beautiful and eclectic collection.

Founded by Shel Pink, SpaRitual is dedicated to the environment using eco-friendly packaging and printing processes. All the bottles are made from reusable glass and natural elements and are fully recyclable. Even the printing processes use soy-based inks and FSC-certified papers. All SpaRitual nail lacquers and elixirs are vegan and are free of DBP, Toulene, Formaldehyde and Formaldehyde resin. Now that’s impressive!

Not only are SpaRitual nail lacquers eco-friendly, but the company practices a philosophy that a beautiful environment inspires beauty, and each shade is associated with a message or meaning. I love the feeling behind the shades and the spiritualistic nature of the company.

I discovered the brand last summer when I received a bottle in my BeautyFix kit. On first glance, it looked like a pretty pink nail polish and I didn’t give it much thought. When I finally got around to wearing it, I was surprised and delighted and how many compliments I got and how flattering the shade was with my skin tone. This fall I again have a found a unique nail shade from SpaRitual in Living in the Moment–a taupe/mauve/lavender creme that is both modern and chic. On my hands, it reads as a beige taupe, but on my co-worker it morphs into a mauve-ish lavender similar to some of my favorite taupe eye shadows like MAC Style Snob.

The collection also includes:

  • Living in the Moment –  cashmere mauve creme
Endless Possibilities – midnight plum creme
    Unconditional Love – peach shimmer
Health, Wealth, & Happiness – blue shimmer
A World of Compassion – dusty periwinkle creme
Dreams Becoming Reality – cool blue turquoise

Aside from the inspirational colors and the “green” company, the quality of this nail polish is excellent. I type all day, every day at work and then go home and type for this blog so wear is very important to me. I’ve experienced no chipping and it’s going on five days. It only took two coats to get a even, creamy high shine look. Perhaps one of the best bonuses of this polish is the cap–yes, I said the cap. Not only is it made of rubber for a non-slip grip, but the rubber is ribbed so it’s nearly impossible to drop it or to slip out of your hands–even with lotion on. Genius!

Vampy Varnish has some awesome pictures of the rest of the collection, you have to see Health, Wealth and Happiness!

BONUS: Here’s a sneak peek at the New Holiday 2010 Glow Collection!

The Glow collection features three luminous shades that range from bright crimson to fresh white to lustrous gold!

  • Radiant–red foil lacquer
  • Light – white shimmer lacquer
  • Reflection— a gold foil lacquer

I recieved Reflection, a gorgeous gilded gold with a hint of silver shimmer. I can’t wait to wear this to holiday parties this season!

SpaRitual Nail Lacquers retail for $10 at fine salons and spas nationwide including Spa Halekulani, Canyon Ranch, and the Mandarin Oriental. They are also available online at and I do wish the brand was more readily available–maybe in Ulta or Sephora.

The Glow Collection is available for $10 each or in a mini-set that includes all three lacquers and a base/topcoat for $20.
