Skindinavia Makeup Sprays & a Giveaway!!

ä
With warmer weather here it can become a challenge to keep your makeup from sliding off your face. Skindinävia was founded in 2005 with the sole purpose of creating products that would keep makeup looking fresher. Their revolutionary “Makeup Finishing Spray” concept was launched in 2007 and originally used on movie sets in Hollywood, so the stars makeup would need fewer touch-ups throughout long days of filming. After being featured on NBC’s Today Show as a “genius product” in 2008, they introduced the concept of the “Makeup Finish”, the first makeup setting sprays made for individual skin types.
I first tried the regular makeup finishing spray a few years ago when it came in my summer BeautyFix box and have been using it ever since. Imagine how thrilled I was to hear one of new individual sprays is for women over 40 and called “10 Years Younger,” an anti-aging finishing spray! I’m soooo there! I much prefer a makeup setting spray over a finishing powder, especially in the hot and humid summer. Sprays are lightweight, don’t add layers or bulk, and Skindinävia makeup sprays can make makeup last up to 16 hours.

The Original Makeup Finishing Spray  –  is formulated for all skin types. The original all- purpose spray, it extends the life of you makeup and keeps it looking vibrant for hours.
No More Shine Makeup Finish- formulated for oily skin to control shine and absorb oil. This spray help prevent makeup from slipping from the T-zone and can be used under or over makeup. A few sprays under makeup AND over keep shine at bay.
Moisture Lock Makeup Finish- for dry skin types, this spray helps hydrate to create a dewy finish and prevent makeup from drying out or caking. It is formulated with six time released moisturizers to keep makeup looking fresh and luminious for up to 16 hours.
Bridal Makeup Finish – tear and moisture resistant. Keeps shine off for better photography.
10 Years Younger Makeup Finish- used at the 2010 Oscars, this spray helps to smooth makeup’s surface, thereby the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Keeps your makeup glowy for hours with a blend of four moisturizers, along with a unique heat-control technology keeps makeup from drying out or settling into fine lines and pores. I’ve been using this spray for a few weeks and really like it. I apply after my makeup but before my mascara. Shake well and spray in an X pattern across your face. It feels incredibly light, hydrating and fresh.
All Skindinävia makeup sprays come in 3 sizes:

  • 2 oz. for $19
  • 4 oz. for $29
  • 8 oz. for $39

 All Skindinävia products are:

  • Hypoallergenic.
  • Paraben free.
  • Sulfate free
  • Non-Comedogenic. Oil Free.
  • Dermatologist and ophthalmologist tested.
  • Colorfast tested (won’t stain clothing).
  • Made in the USA.
  • Not tested on animals.

You don’t have to be a celebrity working on a movie set to need and enjoy Skindinävia Makeup Finishing Sprays. Whether it’s heat and humidity, a long day at work or just running for happy hour, the right makeup spray will keep looking and feeling fresh all day. I so appreciate it when cosmetics companies address us over 40 women and Skindinävia has a formulation made especially for us.

The generous people at Skindinävia offered to sponsor a giveaway for Prime Beauty readers so that you too can try 10 Years Younger Finishing Spray! The giveaway is limited to residents over 18 of the U.S.A. and will end at midnight PST on Wednesday, June 29th. My comment disappeared!! I use several of the Skindinavia Sprays and they are terrific. Someone is going to be lucky to win this prize.

The Skindinavia Sprays sound terrific and I hope I’m a winner and get to try one. The 10 Years Younger formula sounds particularly interesting for myself. Thanks for this opportunity.

It’s difficult to keep my makeup in place because I’m oily and wear foundation for coverage. I use a toner, primer and powder foundation then blot often. These sprays sound fantastic!

This Skindinavia 10 Years Younger sounds fabulous but, if you are 18, and you use it, wouldn’t that make you look like you’re 8 years old?! lol Thank goodness I’m nowhere near 18!

HAHA! Maybe the shine free would be better huh? I think I need a “25 years younger”!

I wish I had a tip on this-I’ve never been able to keep my makeup from sliding off during the summer. I’ve tried primers and spraying Evian water to set the makeup-but two hours later-it’s like the great melt down.

I use less makeup on my face in the summer, but I use the usual amount of eyemakeup and primer is a must . I would so love to try this.

    • Barb

I use a primer and sometimes blotting tissues to keep my makeup fresh.

  • Ann Marie

I wear a tinted sunblock instead of foundation in the summer to try to control the oiliness and the “sliding”…! Blotting tissues are often effective. I would love to try this spay; it seems so convenient.

  • shauna

I put on big sunglasses that cover most of my face! That way you can’t see that my makeup has melted off!

I received a sample of the original formula and loved the results. In the summer, I use a primer, switch to mineral powder foundation & use bolts of blotting paper. It’s an endless battle….

During the summer, I keep my makeup in place by using Bare Minerals primer to hold down bronzer and blush. For eye makeup, Urban Decay’s Primer Potion keeps everything in place!

So how do I keep my make up in pristine condition and in place during the summertime? Well, that’s easy, I don’t. Within an hour of being in the sweltering, humid heat well known in Manhattan as the Dog Days of Summer, I have mascara up my nose, lipstick dripping down my chin, sort of like Bozo the clown in a very sad mood and the raccoon eyes, well, let’s not even go there. I’ve tried a few sprays but I either have an allergic reaction to it or t feels uncomfortable and heavy on my face. This is one spray I would love to try, not simply because it’s supposed to keep your make up from spreading but also because it’s also supposed to prevent your make up from settling into those fine lines we all have but I personally refuse to acknowledge that I have. I’d love to see if this spray is all that the manufacturer says it is because if it truly works, then I’m definitely going to invest in some stocks and bonds in the company. Thanks for this giveaway and good luck to all!
