SENNA is such an underrated brand and their Midnight Wine Fall 2013 Makeup Collection is proof. There are two looks; Neo Copper which I have for you today, and Ravishing Ruby (review coming soon).
Neo Copper is a true representation of fall: warm shades of copper, bronze and metallics. The collection includes:
Coppertina Glow Eye Color ($18) – a medium copper with subtle gold shimmer. I love this shade and wear it sheered out on the lid or applied heavier in the crease. It looks beautiful in the crease with taupe, brown, bronze or champagne on the lid. Coppertina makes blue or green eyes POP!
Beautiful Bronze Cream Lipstick ($20) – these lipsticks are extremely smooth and creamy as well as very moisturizing due to the Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E, Shea Butter and Jojoba Oil in the formula. Beautiful Bronze has a highly metallic finish so make sure your lips are in good shape or every line will show. On my pale lips it’s a medium bronze with peach undertones and lots of shimmer.
Leather Lip Lacquer ($20) – this looks like a deep brown in the tube so I was sure it wouldn’t work for me. Dark shades are having a moment this fall but I have to be really careful with deep shades on my thin lips. With my pale coloring, Leather is actually a pale burgundy. I love it on it’s own with just a sheer swipe or even better, layered over Beautiful Bronze lipstick.
There is a second lip lacquer in the collection in Blush Wine ($20) – and it’s simply gorgeous! It is a lovely rose with shimmer that brings dimension to the lips. If you have thin lips like I do, a gloss with reflective properties can make your thin lips plump up without the sting. With my warm complexion, it pulls a nice peachy rose.
L to R: Blush Wine, Leather and Beautiful Bronze.
For this look, I used Rose Gold Glow Eye Color from the Summer 2013 collection on the lid and Coppertina Glow Eye Color in the crease, Painted Earth eyeliner in Baroque (review coming soon) and SENSAI mascara.
I used Boots No.7 Lift and Luminate foundation, BECCA Opal Shimmering Skin Perfector (review here) as a finishing powder, and Moonberry Face Color from the SENNA Ravishing Ruby look (review coming soon).
For the lips I layered Leather Lip Lacquer over Beautiful Bronze lipstick for a classic fall look.
Bottom Line: the Neo Copper Fall 2013 look from SENNA is gorgeous, especially for warm toned gals. I’ve been reaching for Coppertina eye shadow and Beautiful Bronze lipstick daily. This fall collection is a breath of fresh air–so many fall collections are full of smoky eyes and nude lips so it’s nice to see something different that truly embraces the warm colors of fall. Don’t worry beauties, I’ll be reviewing Ravishing Ruby soon for you cool toned girls.
