Want to look like you’re wearing false eyelashes without all the messy glue, steady hands and the bother? I’ve got the solution! RevitaLash Advanced gave my lashes MEGA length and more fullness! Honest! After all the bad press and controversy over Latisse, there was no way this blue eyed girl was gonna risk turning my baby blues into brown! However, when RevitaLash approached me, I did some research and decided to give it try–especially since I had seen the impressive results on my blogging buddy Gouldylox. RevitaLash Advanced is ophthalmologist-developed and was deemed “safe for use as an eyelash conditioner.”
According to their website, RevitaLash®was developed by Dr. Michael Brinkenhoff as a special gift for his wife, Gayle, while she was recovering from breast cancer. Intensive chemotherapy treatments had damaged Gayle’s once beautiful eyelashes, leaving them sparse, breakable and fragile.
Athena Cosmetics, manufacturer of the popular RevitaLash, is marking it’s fifth anniversary with the next generation of eyelash conditioner–RevitaLash Advanced. Recent independent clinical studies confirmed that over 90% of test subjects noted improvement in the appearance of their eyelashes after 8 weeks of product use. Over 92% said that their eyelashes appeared more lush and full.
Add eyelashes to the list of things that thin with age (oh joy). Just recently I started noticing that my lashes didn’t seem as long or as full as they used to be. For me, it was a real blow becasuse not only do I consider my eyes to be my best feature but because I’ve always been blessed with long, dark curly lashes—until now. The shame, the horror! Seriously though, I was sad. I jumped at the chance to try RevitaLash Advanced. However, I was not very organized and didn’t apply it every night as directed–yeah I’m one of those who doesn’t read directions until it’s too late. Note to self: add reading directions to my list of New Years resolutions. For the first 3-4 weeks I was very hit or miss at applying the serum. Then I got serious and started using RevitaLash every night. Application couldn’t be any easier–just draw a thin line at the base of lashes much like you would when using a liquid eyeliner, except you don’t have to worry about getting a perfectly straight line or the ideal cat eye! I didn’t use the serum on my lower lashes at all because they are really long anyway. I didn’t experience any redness, itching or other side effects at all. I am ELATED with the results! I think you’ll be shocked in the before and after pictures, but I’m getting ahead of myself.
Let me just say I’m not the most observant person. I used the serum every night for about 4-6 weeks and remarkably one day while applying my latest mascara I thought “wow this mascara is better than I originally thought” and didn’t think any more about it. I have no less than 4-5 mascara open at one time so I don’t use the same brand every day–if I did I probably would have noticed the difference in my lashes sooner. A few days later I thought the same thing about another brand mascara. On the third day and a third mascara, I realized (doh!) that it was my lashes and not the mascara!!!!
It was the weekend and I was planning on taking pics for a new foundation I was trying. As I was putting on my makeup for “the shoot,” I applied Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara and WOW-BAM-BOOM my lashes were hitting my brows–NO LIE!! That prompted me to take a good looong look in the magnifying mirror and I saw that my lashes looked like falsies. WIN!
Revitalash Eyelash Conditioner retails for $150 for a six-month supply and $90 for a three-month supply.
Bottom Line: A+ If you’re looking to try a lash growth serum, you should see results with RevitaLash Advanced. Of course individual results vary, but my experience does seem to be the norm so give it a try!
