DermOrganic is a new brand to me and one that I can say I will stick with. When I find a brand that is socially responsible, produces effective products and is genuinely concerned about their clients, count me in beauties! DermOrganic uses Argan Oil as it’s key ingredient in their hair treatments. By now you’re probably wondering how these amazing products perform huh? While I haven’t tried every one of the offerings, three out of the four I have tried, three are sincerely impressive!
DermOrganic Conditioning Shampoo ($16)– I’ve used a few conditioning shampoos (including that expensive one sold on OVC that rhymes with BEN) and expected this to be the same. I was surprised and delighted that this shampoo actually lathers! Thick, rich, creamy lather! I have NEVER had a sulfate free shampoo that lathered before. It also makes my hair feel really clean without using tons of product. The ingredients include nutrients such as Essential Fatty Lipids (EFAs) and Amino Acids to moisturize, strengthen and rebuild the hair every time you use it! It also protects my color as well as permed and heat styled hair.
DermOrganic Daily Hydrating Conditioner ($16) – the biggest problem I have had using most cleansing conditioners is that they weigh my super fine hair down. I think that’s why DermOrganics Conditioning Cleanser works better for me. That said, I still need to use a regular conditioner because my fine hair tangles very easily. This one works especially well for me because it’s not too heavy. Loaded with moisture factors, lipids and Panthenol to increase absorption, there are no silicones either!
DermOrganic Leave-In Treatment with Argan Oil ($25) – you might wonder why I would use both a leave-in treatment and a conditioner. One word–flyways! As I’ve already mentioned, my hair is baby fine and therefore in the dry winter weather, I get flyaways like crazy! This Argan treatment gives my hair tons of shine and makes it soooo soft I seriously can’t stop touching it. Plus…get this…it cuts my drying time almost in half!
DermOrganic Firm Hold Volume Foam ($15) – this is a thick mousse that is supposed to add volume with no alcohol. It did me some lift at the roots (not as much as I would have liked) and my hair fuller but by the end of the day the volume had disappeared. For me, this was a disappointment, however I think it would be great to keep curls set and bouncy.
Bottom Line: DermOrganic products are fabulous! They are good for your hair and give your hair shine, bounce and softness. It’s a miracle that these products can provide softness AND manageability! I have honestly not found that combination for my fine hair and was beginning to think it didn’t exist. I can use the the leave-in treatment and still style my hair and it holds! I still have some other products to try in the line so stay tuned for more on this fantastic brand!
