The Bliss Youth Group Skincare Set features 5 formulas from The Youth As We Know It collection. Each formula aims to keep skin healthy, radiant and youthful by using effective botanical and scientific ingredients. Set Includes: The Youth As We Know It Cleanser, The Youth As We Know It Toner, The Youth As We Know It Concentrate, The Youth As We Know It Moisturizer, The Youth As We Know It Eye Cream and a Travel Bag.  I received this kit free from Bliss when I signed up on as an email subscriber and made a purchase over $50. I purchased Peeling Groovy (see review here). I used these products and only these products for 3 weeks. So of you may think that is not enough time to see results but considering I have used The Youth As We Know It Concentrate previously, I think that’s ample time for the rest of the products. Please remember I am discussing my experience with these products and your experience may vary. I am going to review each of these products separately because I feel some are worth the money are some are not.

The Youth As We Know It Cleanser

(1 fl oz) This cleanser does not cut it for me. It does not foam or lather at all but it is not a gel. My skin didn’t feel really clean after using it and in fact a lot there was a lot of makeup residue when I used a toner after cleansing.

The Youth As We Know It Toner (1 fl oz)

I am a bit perplexed by this product. It is not a fluid, but rather a gel that you are to apply to damp skin. Okay, I did that but I didn’t get that ‘toner’ feeling of skin being deep cleansed or any sensation of tightening that is common with a toner. Maybe I was not applying correctly?

The Youth As We Know It Concentrate (0.51 fl oz)

I do like this serum—Bliss calls it a concentrate but it is a thin serum. It does brighten and clarify. See my review here

The Youth As We Know It Moisturizer (0.34 fl oz)

I do not like this moisturizer. It doesn’t seem to really absorb. I apply after the concentrate and it just ‘balls’ off my skin, especially around the edges of my face (jaw line, hairline, etc). I thought perhaps I hadn’t let the concentrate sink in fully so I waited as much as an half hour before applying the moisturizer. When I applied my foundation, it again balled around my face. So, I thought I hadn’t left the moisturizer on long enough before putting on foundation, so again I waited as much as a half hour before applying my foundation. It still balled up around my face. I tried the concentrate with another moisturizer and the same foundation and no balling. I have now tried several other moisturizers and not had this problem so I attribute this to The Youth As We Know It Moisturizer. Fail for me; I could not wait to get back to my regular moisturizer.

The Youth As We Know It Eye Cream (0.1 fl oz)

Hmmm, well the eye cream is okay. Fairly thin in consistency and didn’t absorb well for me. When I wore this eye cream I would end up with black dots under my eyes from my mascara which doesn’t happen with other eye creams and I take to mean it did absorb into my skin, but rather stayed on top.

Travel Bag

What can I say? It’s cute and I’ll use it.

FINAL THOUGHTS: I am so glad I did not purchase this and spend $68 at Sephora. Sorry Bliss, but I am very disappointed, especially after trying The Youth As We Know It Concentrate and Peeling Groovy and being  impressed with the results. The rest of the Youth As We Know It line is a letdown. That being said, maybe this set would work for younger women just starting a skin care regimen,  however, these products are marketed as anti-aging.

Packaging:Cleanser, Toner & Concentrate are in pump dispensers, the moisturizer & eye cream are in jars

Value: this set of ‘try me’ sizes retails for $68, purchased separately this set is $262! I feel neither is a bargain when the products do not provide results.

Overall: when only 1 or maybe 2 products of a 5-piece set work for me, I cannot endorse it as a set, know what I mean?

Grade: D
