Review: Bliss Fabulips Lip Treatment Kit

My poor lips have really suffered this summer. My allergies have been so bad I’m destined to live in a bubble but since that’s not practical, I’m on an extra heavy dose of allergy medicines which causes me to be a mouth-breather. Lemme tell ya, being a mouth breather is very hard on the lips–dry, chapped and cracked lips are painful and unattractive.

When I got the chance to try Bliss Fabulips Treatment Kit ($45) I was thrilled to get a full ‘ facial’ for my lips at home. This the same popular pampering treatment offered at the Bliss spa.

The treatment consists of four steps:

  1.  Foaming lip cleanser: the cleansing complex breaks down waxes and oils to gently cleanse lips and lift away impurities and it’s fun to use!
  2. Sugar Lip Scrub:finely granulated sweet sugar, almond and walnut shell gently buff away dry flakes. Jojoba seed oil, olive oil, shea butter, cocoa butter an vitamins A, C, & E nourish and condition lips. This tastes and smells divine!
  3. Instant Lip Plumper:cork tree extract and a peptide-packed complex enhances contour to visibly volumize lips, delivering both immediate inflation and long-lasting lushness. My upper is very thin and when I smile it’s non-existent.  I’m not thrilled at the thought of injectable or fillers so I’m always on the lookout for lip plumpers that don’t hurt and this works without the pain. Win!  I love that the click pen is clear so you can tell how much you’re getting!
  4. Softening Lip Balm:  shea butter, jojoba and grape seed oils and vitamin E seals lips to leave them moisturized, conditioned, nourished and incredibly supple. Love the smooth liquid-y feel of this, it actually melts into your lips.

Overall: this kit is fun to use and makes my lips super soft and smooth. Originally when I saw four products with four steps I wasn’t thrilled–I thought I would need to add another 20 minutes to my routine–oy vey! I was delighted to learn these four steps take all of 5 minutes and the payoff is fanstastic! After all, every other body part has a beauty regimen–face, hands, feet, hair, even your teeth–invest a little time on your lips. Dry, chapped lips are aging–full soft lips are youthful!

Bliss Fabulips Lip Treatment Kit is a bit pricy at $45 but I think it’s worth it. It’s available at, Sephora and everywhere Bliss products are sold.

If you’ve ever watched The Batchelor or the Batchelorette–you have to watch this hilarious video!

  • I have terrible allergies too and my lips took quite a beating this summer out in the sun. On top of it, I have very sensitive skin so I can’t use any of the “fall back” lip treatments. Bliss products are the only ones that I can use. I had no idea they had this lip treatment kit. I’ll definitely try it, thanks for the tip!!

  • HAHAHA I got a huge kick out of the foaming-at-the-mouth pic. I love this set… I’ve added it to my wishlist. I take such poor care of my lips! How often does the package say to do this routine (or does it just say “as needed”…. I hate that!) And how many applications do you think this has?

Hi Jenn! It says once a week and I would agree with that. I was surprised at how easy it is and how fab-u-lous my lips feel after. There are a ton of aplliccations in the kit-it should last a good long time. All the products are sold separately too if you want to go that way.

  • Ha! That foaming shot is TOO funny!

  • LOL!! Great post with pictures! I have never tried anything from Bliss. This looks good, so thank you for the post! x

  • wow, plumpy McPlump Lips!! Looks like it works. I have to laugh at your rabid photo. oh the things we do to bring the information to the reader. lol
