Purr by Katy Perry Eau de Parfum Giveaway!

BimgKaty Perry Purr 100ml EDP

Purr by Katy Perry eau de parfum begins with the aroma of peach nectar and forbidden apple, evolves with a distinct floral bouquet of jasmine blossom, Bulgarian rose and vanilla orchid, and slowly reveals accents of creamy sandalwood and musk. Like the singer herself, Purr is playful yet sophisticated.

I was not expecting to like this fragrance at all–in fact I didn’t WANT to like it! However it is surprising pleasant and I do like it–but not enough to wear it on a regular basis–a little too sweet for me. The freesia is just stronger than I like.

The bottle is cute a kitty cat with silvery eyes and a heart charm around it’s neck.  The gift set includes:

  • 1.7 fl.oz. Shimmering body Lotion
  • 0.5 fl. oz. Purr Eau de Parfum
  • 1.7 fl.oz. Shower Gel

This is really a cute little gift set and it can be yours! Just leave me a comment and tell me what you really think of celebrity fragrances! There are additional ways to get more entries, wait for the Rafflecopter widget to load!

I think the last celebrity fragrance I bought was J Lo’s. I’m usually not tempted by this kind of thing but the bottle is too cute to resist and the scent sounds like one that wouldn’t bring on a migraine.

  • amber p

I have had mixed experiences some have been horrible and others i continue to buy.

  • Heather USA (rosie areola)

Celeb fragrances have gotten better recently I think.

Particularly Katy Perry, the Jessica Simpson line and Taylor Swift’s Wonderstruck are the stand out ones for me.

    • cindy

I do like Wonderstruck, it smells heavenly on my sister!

  • Rosemary ford

    I like several of them

I have mixed feelings about celebrity perfumes, but if the fragrances themselves are good I guess it doesn’t matter whose name is on the bottle. I have neither purchased, nor ever been given a celebrity fragrance before.

    • cindy

I have mixed feelings too Lola. I think some celebrities just lend their name and others are really involved in the process. It’s hit or miss for me–some I like, Gaga for examples some I don’t. It comes down to the way they smell for me not who’s name is on it.

  • Tammy Sigond

Ive encountered good and bad…just like everything else…being a celeb fragrance doesnt make me buy altho I’m in my 40s

  • Rosa Barnett

I have never owned any but…bet they smell good.

  • annette

Normally I’m not into celebrity fragrances. I do have a Kat Von d that I like.

  • Shandi Naugle

I just try to ignore the celebrities and focus on the scent:)

  • Justine

I’ve never owned a celebrity perfume, but I would if the scent was nice!

  • Vikki M.

I will buy it if it smells good but will not buy just because of someones name.

  • http://debshere.blogspot.com/ Deb K

I too have mixed emotions~some good some bad. Now I love Issey Miyake!

    • cindy

I need to try more of Issey Miyake–I’ve only tried one.

  • Anne Taylor

I usually like them if I like the celebrity lol

  • Chelsea W

It really depends. I really disliked Nicki Minaj’s new perfume, and don’t get me started on Mariah Carey’s. But I really enjoy Taylor Swift’s, and I’m a sucker for Britney Spear’s and Paris Hilton’s, although I don’t usually like to admit it lol.

    • cindy

I like Taylor Swift’s Wonderstruck too and I hear good things about Britney’s Spears.

  • Mariee

They’re so many of them! But I love Jessica Simpsons Fancy Love.

  • Belinda McNabb

I have tried a few and really liked them

  • http://www.bakingbeauty.net Krystle(Baking Beauty)

Celeb fragrances always have the cutest bottles!!

  • http://www.retrodivasbeauty.com Meredith

The bottle is just too cute.

  • Jennifer frank-lopez

There have been several celeb fragrances I have been pleasantly surprised with. Love the Mariah Carey one, Jessica Simpsons is really nice and Jennifer Lopez has one that I adore

  • Vickie Riddle

The “celebrity” doesn’t matter if it stinks. :)

  • Sherry B.

I really liked “In Bloom”, the first fragrance that was released by Avon for Reese Witherspoon. Honestly, I have not cared for many of the other celebrity-named scents. I find that most of them have a generic-quality, though tweaked here and there, which to MY nose, cheapens the whole mystique of the perfume. That said, I have liked, not loved, a small handful over the years and I am willing to give any type of fragrance a chance. You never know, as a perfume lover, when you might run across an absolute gem! It is possible that I just prefer the older “celeb perfumes” more; I remember one called “Sophia”, named of course, for Sophia Loren, that was ALMOST as sultry as the lady herself! Anyway, if I don’t like a more modern scent, my daughter loves them and will most likely end up with it. ;)

    • cindy

      I totally agree!

  • charlotte

I’ve worn the same scent for almost 20 years (Lady Stetson) because it is my husbands favorite.. but it’s been discontinued so I’m desperately searching for a replacement. Willing to try anything at this point, celebrity or not!

  • Linda

As long as I like the scent, I’ll wear it regardless of who’s fronting the fragrance. :) I’ve been disappointed by most of the ones I’ve tried recently, but I’m not ready to give up yet~ there’s got to be at least one gem out there somewhere!

  • ginette4

I only buy fragrances that I like not because it has the name of someone famous on it

  • Barb H

I like a few of the celebrity fragrances.

  • rajee

never owned I think they choose the best one

  • Ash Johnson

    I’ve never really tried one.

  • Danielle

It really depends – some are generic, some are beautiful.

  • Lee Pearson

I really have no preference if a fragrance is by a celebrity or not. If I like the scent I will purchase the Parfum. I do like Katy Perry tho. Nice giveaway! Thank you.

  • christi

I think there are way too many, my first perfume was J- Lo’s Glow, I loved it! Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!

  • christina kunze @nickandmattsmom

There have been some that i have tried and liked Paris Hiltons “Tease” J Lo’s Glow, but i smell the scent and see that it smells good on me before i buy it, i dont just buy it because it has a Celebrity name on it..that makes no difference to me.

  • Amy Orvin

I love them! I have started a collection and am slowly getting all of the lovely ladies that I really like. Thank you for the giveaway!

  • Daintynymph

I generally don’t buy normal perfume because they all usually just smell “perfumey” rather than like something, and are way too expensive. I love the bottles of a lot of celebrity perfumes, but so far there hasn’t been one that’s been worth it to buy.

  • Wendy

I looove the bottle, and it smells outstanding too!

  • Kim Miller

Love this bottle! Celebrity scents are very reasonably priced and the bottles are much more stylish than they used to be!

  • Glogirl

It seems that once a celebrity reaches a certain point in their career that the next step is to create a perfume. Some of the scents are well done and others just don’t stand out.

  • Lean S

I think some are better than others. I tried Madonna’s new fragrance and I did like it. I want to try the new Dita Von Teese fragrance. Thank you for this draw.

  • Brenda Penton

I haven’t smelled many celebrity perfumes. The ones I have smelled aren’t too bad. Some were really nice. I like a few of Britney Spears’ perfumes.

  • Lori Bazan

I like many of the celebrity fragrances, the new Madonna is great!

  • http://inmy30sanditstime.wordpress.com angie

i have no problem with celebrity fragrances – the more the merrier so long as they smell nice! a scent is a scent who cares whose name is on the box

  • Christy Martin

I pick strictly by scent. Hiding the bottle is different issue!

  • SueSueper Sue

I think they are great, I go by the smell not the name so much.

  • http://raindropsandsunshine.ca Michelle B

I will buy them if I like the fragrance.

  • maria

Some celeb fragrances are very well done eg Liz Taylor and some are so crappy Paris Hilton!

  • Mary I

Some of the fragrances are fantastic.

  • Cathy T

If I like it I’ll buy it no matter whose name is on it

  • Kellie Rose Wilson

I think a lot of them smell really nice!
