Prime “Bathing” Beauties – a Guest Post

Prime Beauty reader Ammie, was kind enough to do a guest post for me featuring a few of her favorite Bath and Body products from Etailers. Thanks Ammie, I can almost smell the them!

Thank you Cindy, for letting me share my love of bath and body products with your audience.  I think I like the stuff so much because I can and do actually use it up!  I polish off scrubs, (no pun intended but I’ll take the laugh), I use up lotions and I finish soaps.  What a feeling of accomplishment.  One product down and it’s time to buy more.

I do love the big brands like Philosophy and Laura Mercier, but it’s the smaller E-tailers that get most of my business.  I think I like their wider choices in terms of scents.  I’ll go in alphabetical order because that is just the kind of anal nutcase I am.

Coconut Hut: http://www.coconutbeauty.com-/ features body washes, scrubs, lotions and creams.  They carry other skincare items but I’m focusing on bath and body.  The scents range from Desserts to Designer Duplicates.  Every product I’ve tried has been a good one.  The scents I’ve tried don’t have that artificial smell to them that some products can have.  The owner comes out with seasonal scents along with a regular large variety.  Her body butters which are very rich are $15 USD for 4 oz.

Grumpy Girl: www.grumpygirlcandles.com- I know, I know, it says candles but she has bath and body products too.  As an aside, her tarts smell great and have a strong throw.   I love her site as I find it witty and clever.  I’ve tried her scrubs and buttahs and love them both- thick and rich and scented just right.   I didn’t notice designer dupes but she has a very nice selection of scents. I just wish the shipping charges were lower. Her buttahs is $8 USD for 2.10 oz.

The Pittsburgh Street Soapworks Company: www.pittstreetsoap.com: I only tried one item from them as I love Tom Ford’s Black Orchid and this was the only place I could find that had a dupe.  Plus the site got some really good raves from the QVC Beauty Board.  I bought the Luxury Body Whip which is a very luscious body cream.    At $9 USD for 8 ounces, I will be buying more.

The Soapbox Company: www.thesoapboxco.com: This is a fun site that carries multiple brands like Bath Nation, Haunt and Savor.  Pay attention to their sales and you can get some great bargains and try different lines.  I’ve tried the three I mentioned above and found good stuff from each line.

Villainess: www.villainess.net:  I’ve bought just about everything on this site- soap, creams, scrubs, perfume oils and cannot recommend it highly enough.  The scents are off the beaten track yet still smell awfully good.  Her scrubs can be either very loose or compact so read the descriptions to see which you prefer.  She also has seasonal scents that can recur every year.  Her body cream is called Whipped and is $10 for 8 ounces.

Happy shopping!!!
