Paula’s Choice RESIST Omega+ Complex Serum + Giveaway!

Press Sample

Paula’s Choice Skincare recently released the Omega + Complex Serum ($36) that is super rich in Omega Fatty Acids and promises to hydrate your skin while staving off the signs of aging.

Paula’s Choice is an anti-aging brand I really trust. Last year I had a skin consultation with a Paula’s Choice consultant and she recommended the Resist Line Anti-Aging Line. Those products worked beautifully for me and got me hooked on the line. In fact, the Resist Super Antioxidant Concentrate, Resist C15 Super Booster and  Moisture Boost Daily Restoring Complex SPF 30 have all become staples in my skincare routine.

Omega+ Complex Serum uses ingredients such as flaxseed, passion fruit, chia seed and olive oil to revitalize and moisturize skin. It’s ideal for all skin types, and especially beneficial for anyone struggling with skin that’s showing signs of fatigue or visible signs of aging such as fine lines, wrinkles and loss of firmness. Perfect for over 40 beauties!

The serum’s formula also helps to neutralize environmental damage by strengthening skin’s delicate barrier. I find it to be extremely hydrating–enough to be my only moisturizer in the summer, along with SPF of course.

I’ve been using this serum every day for a little over a month after cleansing, toning and exfoliating. I apply about a pea size amount both in the morning and evening. I follow up with in the morning with Moisture Boost Daily Restoring Complex SPF 30 in the daytime and a whatever moisturizer I happen to be testing at night.

The texture is a light, creamy milk-like consistency that has a velvety feel to it though I don’t believe there is silicone in the formula. It also works well under makeup and only takes about 15-20 seconds to absorb. This has really helped hydrate my dry skin from the winter. What is unusual about Omega + Complex Serum is that is not meant to target any specific skincare concerns like brown spots, deep wrinkles or ruddy texture. Instead, it’s main function is to ” visibly improving skin’s health.” That’s exactly what it has done for my skin. I haven’t noticed any improvement in my wrinkles (it may be too early) but it certainly has improved the health of my skin. It looks plump and it has hydrated my skin in a way moisturizers haven’t been able to accomplish.

Paula’s Choice Omega + Complex Serum can be layered with other serums and treatment products. As always, you should start by cleansing, toning, and then applying your leave-on AHA or BHA exfoliant followed by the serum. I think those with extremely dry skin can especially benefit from this serum or someone who needs to heal their skin, perhaps after a peel or for post-Retin A use.

Bottom Line: I really love the feel of my skin after using Paula’s Choice Omega + Complex Serum. My skin is plump. hydrated and has a smoother look to it. While I don’t feel it’s a must-have, it is a great addition to enhance the benefits of any moisturizer and is very affordable at only $36.

Hi my name is Crystal and I have rosacea. I have tried many different types of skin care, none that have been effective in taming down the redness. I feel like the older I have gotten the more hyper pigmented my skin has gotten, and usually when I try store-bought products, it becomes even more inflamed.

  • Christy Peeples DuBois

I am currently using samples that I have acquired. I have extremely oily skin but I know I still need a Mousturizer. I do not have a favorite one though.

I currently am using the gel moisturizer by Neutrogena. I like it but I am always ready for something better for my skin. I am really into anti aging products!

I’m currently not using a traditional moisturizer as I haven’t liked any I’ve come across in a while. I use serums, oils and sometimes an overnight mask. I’ve heard of Paula’s Choice and have been quite interested as I’ve only heard great things.

  • Looks like great products + serums are so important for anti-aging. If you’re over 30 and not using a serum – you are missing out!

  • Stacey Roberson

My current moisturizer is okay, I guess. It’s a little greasy, but keeps my face from getting dry.

  • 1alwaysnyc1

No, I’m not happy with my moisturizer. My oily-my-whole-life skin is suddenly dehydrated, peeling if I just think about it! I think it’s hormonal and hyaluronic acid seems to exacerbate the peeling.

  • Elizabeth

I do really like my current one but I’m always wanting to try new ones as well.
