Paul & Joe Manhattan Fall 2011 Makeup Collection

Paul & Joe pay homage to the city of New York in their Fall 2011 makeup collection, Manhattan. Mixing neutrals with darker shades, each piece is named after a different area of the city. Packaging is adorable as usual and always tickles this girly girls’ fancy. As soon as I saw pictures of this collection, my fingers couldn’t fly fast enough to Beautyhabit.com where I ordered two lipsticks and one of the eyeshadow duos. My goodies arrived today so I haven’t had a chance to try them, but I thought you might want a sneak peek. I got a cute makeup bag as a GWP so I’m pleased as punch. The second half of the collection is due to be released in September–3 eye shadow palettes, 3 more Lipstick C lip colors, 3 nail polishes and a beautiful pressed powder.

Let’s take a look-see! The collection includes:

Three eye shadow pots each with two contrasting shades ($24)

  • Brooklyn Bridge
  • Empire State
  • 42th Street
  • I ordered Empire State and I can already tell I’m going to love it!

There are 3 lipsticks ($22), Lower East Side, Uptown Girl and Soho.

I chose Lower East Side and Uptown Girl (a coral-duh). I’m still debating on Soho-was just a teeny bit afraid it might be too bright. These are sheer but do pack a lot of color and glide like a swan in a pond.

Don’t forget your nails! These three rich shades: Downtown, The City That Never Sleeps and The Big Apple ($14) are part of the second half of the collection to be released in September.

Also included is a Creamy Powder Foundation availalbe in 6 shades and a stunning Finishing Pressed Powder. The skyscraper represents the height of sophistication; the new pressed powder adds glamour and definition.

The three eye shadow palettes ($46) are limited edition and I want all of them!  I’m a bit of a palette collector and all the colors look stunning so it’s going hard to choose, but if I must, I’m thinkin’ it’s going to be Chelsea for me…but then I really like Central Park West ….and 58th & 5th looks nice —yikes my wallet is crying for relief already!

  • Chelsea
  • Central Park West
  • 58th +5th
  • Three limited edition eye liners:

Three more Lipstick C shades. The City and NYC are calling to me.

I can’t wait until Septemeber!  Reviews coming soon on the 3 items I purchased from the Manhattan collection! For now, I will leave you with a picture of the cute makeup bag I got from Beautyhabit.com as a GWP.

    1. I love Paul & Joe! I think the Lower East Side lippie is GORGEOUS!

Their packaging is just so pretty and chic… It’s a good thing they also produce good quality cosmetics haha…. The eyeshadow palettes are to-die-for…I like Chelsea the best though 58th and 5th is prob the most wearable…

      • Agree, agree agree. I’m wearing Lower East Side today–a my lips but better shade–fantastic for every day!

    2. I’m in trouble since you said where to buy them! I’m so obsessed with nail polishes again that I’m going to buy a P&J one since I’ve never tried those before. Plotting an order….

    3. Ooo those lipstick shades you chose were the ones I’ve been eying!

    4. what’s the code (if there is one) for the GWP? That bag is SO cute!! this collection looks gorgeous!
