Painted Earth Skin Care and Cosmetics are organic, natural, non-toxic and cruelty-free. You can’t get much better than that! Founded in 2010 by Joanne McClure, she wanted to offer an alternative to chemical skincare products.
Painted Earth was founded to offer an alternative to pore-clogging chemical skincare products, and our exclusively organic, natural and non-toxic products don’t force users to sacrifice health for beauty; instead they make accentuating beauty a healthier process. On top of their dedication to human health, Painted Earth also looks out for the welfare of our furry friends, and does not condone animal testing or use animal by-products.
I had the opportunity to try a few skincare products from Painted Earth as well as a few cosmetic products. I’m going to focus on skincare in this post.
Since I’ve been a blogger I have tried oh, maybe 2,397 eye creams. They ALL promise to decrease puffiness, eliminate dark circles and get rid of crow’s feet. It has been my experience that no one product can accomplish all that. None. That being said, Painted Earth’s Vitamin C Eye Gel is definitely one of the better eye creams I’ve used and I’m convinced it’s because of the Vitamin C. It is formulated with 5% Vitamin C and is in a concentrated delivery system with the highest form of active, bio-available Vitamin C.
This non-greasy gel is like an eye lift in a tube. I can immediately feel my under eye area tighten. I apply lightly in the morning and then follow with my concealer. My concealer glides on and my under eye area stays ultra hydrated all day long without being greasy and smudging my mascara. At night I apply a little heavier. The texture is very nice–it does not sting and it absorbs very well. You need only a tiny amount–I apply under my eyes and on the side where my crow’s feet have taken up residence and unlike most eye creams, it is safe to apply on the lid too. I don’t have dark circles but I have noticed a brighter look around my eyes due again to the Vitamin C. Overall I am very happy with this eye cream. My pesky crow’s feet have not vanished but my under eye area is brighter and nicely hydrated and I love the light texture.

Are you noticing a trend here? A Vitamin C trend? Vitamin C has become a lifesaver ingredient for me as I age. I used to use a lot of glycolic acid but as I’ve aged and my skin has become thinner, it has also become more sensitive so I’ve been turning to products that include Vitamin C to brighten and smooth my complexion. I have some sun damage that I am on a quest to eliminate and Vitamin C is my answer! Every over woman needs to investigate Vitamin C.
I love the lightweight texture of this lotion, it almost feels like I’m not wearing anything! It absorbs well so that I don’t end up getting shiny during the day but my skin still gets the drink of water it needs. Painted Earth’s Optimum 15% Vitamin C Face Lotion is a joy to wear and has really brighten my skin. This product in combination with Lancome Dream Cream (review coming soon) and Painted Earth Vitamin C Eye Gel, has my skin looking bright, clear and near flawless!
