It’s nice to see over 40 actresses who haven’t been poked, poofed, filled and injected. With a combined age of 151, these Hollywood leading ladies showed that they can still turn heads.
Daryl Hannah, 51, Brooke Shields, 46, and 54-year-old Melanie Griffith were pictured taking time out from their busy schedules to attend a basketball match. They don’t look like they are wearing a ton of makeup and personally, I think they look great–appropriate for their age but still attractive and NATURAL.
Most of the 12,599-strong crowd were split between watching the action on the court and on the sidelines as the stars arrived on Monday night to watch the New Orleans Hornets and the San Antonio Spurs battle it out.
All three stars are have ongoing projects or somthing in the works. Daryl Hannah is set to start filming western Palominas along with the third instalment of Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill. Meanwhile, Melanie Griffith has signed up to do TV series This American Housewife while Brooke Shields has just completed a successful run in The Addams Family on Broadway.
What are your thoughts on these ladies looks?
Are you kidding? Melanie and Daryl (not so sure about Brooke) are full of botox and fillers – it’s so obvious! Nothing natural about them. To be honest i think they look like three old hags.

Wow. And not in a good way. Melanie looks totally worked on, puffy, and false. Daryl, I’m not sure, but she looks puffy for someone her age. Brooke, I would think that she’s had work (botox, collagen, etc.) done but not face lifts. Maybe, I’m just optimistic. I would be quite shocked to find that none of these women have had stuff done (botox shots, collagen shots, laser work, major peels, etc.). It’s part of their job description as “somewhat older” actresses: you need to look younger so that you can compete with younger actresses. It must be a tough work situation. I’m glad I don’t live there.
They all had some work done, which seems to be the norm. I am ok with that btw, just don’t overdo it! Melanie Griffith looks better than she has in years and Brooke Shields always has my vote. Darryl needs to watch the works she’s done; it’s getting too obvious.
Nevertheless, these women are all over 40 beauties with brains to match. And we have many more of them:Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Anniston, Tina Fey, Helen Mirren, Sofia Vergara, Sandra Bullock and Famke Jansen. Just to name a few!

Melanie Griffith started in on the plastic surgery young, at least a good 20 years ago. Don’t you remember her gigantic lips? It looks like she has laid off that a bit at least. I’ll be willing to bet all of them go in for botox, but Brooke Shields looks like she hasn’t had much done besides that. This is a good photo of Daryl Hannah. I’ve seen some others where she’s looking really puffy like she’s had too many fillers and maybe cheek implants. I think they are all beauties who are trying to remain relevant in Hollywood where youth is everything and doing a pretty good job. No old hags here!

but seriously Daryl has had some minor bone work done I think. Eyes, chin and just a little to her nose.
To me, since I grew up watching these ladies, the work they’ve had done is pretty obvious. Daryl Hannah especially is almost unrecognizable, and my first thought on seeing this pic was “That’s Daryl Hannah?? Whoa, too much lip filler!” I think Melanie Griffith always looks artificial but, as someone above noted, she started early on the fixes. Brooke looks the best of the three but that may be because she’s sticking to the Latisse and Botox and leaving the lower part of her face alone.
What’s interesting to me is that to you they look “natural”. What would look artificial to you, do you figure? Is cosmetic/medical beauty work so common among celebrities now that it’s really hard to find someone who actually does look “natural”? I always think of Helen Mirren as fairly natural and then I just read an article about fillers she’s used and now I’m really stretching for someone who looks “natural” at all…
