Brazil is on my bucket list of places to travel to. The beaches, the rainforest, the food and the people who seem to love to party! Since my wallet won’t allow me a visit soon, why not bring a little of Brazil into my home?

Sol De Janeiro makes the eponymous Brazilian Bum Bum Cream (reviewed here) with the fabulous pistachio and caramel scent. The scent has garnered such a cult following, the line has recently expanded into other products.

I love this fragrance so much I like to layer the products to keep the scent going. In case you aren’t familiar with the scent, the fragrance notes are:

Top: pistachio, almond
Mid: heliotrope, jasmine petals
Dry: vanilla, salted caramel, sandalwood

You would expect a tropical scent, maybe coconut or some type of tropical flower. Instead, it’s a delicious combination of pistachio and caramel. The fragrance opens with pistachio and almond right away, then the floral mid notes show up lending a soft, feminine touch and the vanilla caramel brings a nice warmth in the dry down.

To get superbly soft, moisturized, touchable skin, I start with the Brazilian 4 Play Moisturizing Shower Cream $25. It is infused with naturally powerful ingredients from the Amazon, including a blend of nourishing cupuaçu butter, skin-conditioning coconut oil, and the antioxidant superpower of açaí. The lather is deliciously rich and creamy and leaves my skin silky smooth and moisturized.

Next up is the NEW Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Bod Buff Smoothing Scrub ‘N’ Mask $25. This two-in-one mask and scrub will give you that Brazilian babe-worthy skin. It features Brazilian quartz crystals and Amazon river clay to exfoliate, soften and detoxify skin. Simply apply to dry skin as a mask, wait for ten minutes, then scrub it off.  Cupuaçu butter – the Amazon’s answer to shea butter – is chock full of fatty acids (phytosterols and polyphenols), which lock in moisture and helps to restore skin’s elasticity. Coconut oil, long enjoyed in Brazil before it took off globally, melts easily into skin to soften and hydrate, while antioxidant powerhouse açaí helps keep skin healthy and youthful. The biggest surprise with this scrub, is the sunny yellow color which, honestly I could do without.

After the scrub, I apply Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Cream $45. Bum Bum Cream has a surprisingly light, whipped, silky texture. It glides over the skin and absorbs without feeling greasy or oily. The fast-absorbing texture contains just enough mica to add a perfect Brazilian glow and the formula helps your body look and feel its smoothest plus that fragrance–ahhhhh!

Another new product is the Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Touch Hand Cream $15. I’m super impressed with how quickly this hand cream absorbs and it’s non-greasy texture. It has the same yummy signature scent and Brazilian beauty blend of cupuaçu butter for nourishment, açaí, for an antioxidant boost, and coconut oil to keep hands and cuticles beautiful and moisturized.

Also new to the line up are Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Crush Body Fragrance Mist $32 which will be my next purchase so I can this fabulous every day. Another addition to the line is the Glow Oils, a shimmery skin-softening oil in two illuminating shades: bronze and pink. Last but not least is the  Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Kiss Cupuacu Lip Butter $18 which I’m dying to try. The conditioning oils sound great and I a carry lip balm at all times.

These products are vegan, gluten-free, and formulated without animal by-products, propylene glycol, synthetic colors, PEGs, and petrolatum. All products are cruelty-free. Available at Sephora and Sephora.com
