Welcome to the final installment of Mascara Madness, 5 days of mascara reviews in my quest to find the perfect one. In my scientific pursuit of mascara excellence, I used Lancome Powerbooster Primer under all mascaras tested, used my Sheisido lash curler and applied two coats of each mascara.
Day 5 of Mascara Madness has us taking a look at the new Laura Mercier Full Blown Volume Lash Building Mascara (again, what’s with the loooong names?). I’ve never tried Laura Mercier mascaras but that damn QVC cast its spell on me and when I saw the differrence in the models lashes, I was sold. Granted, it doesn’t take much–for me QVC stands for the Quintessential Vulnerable Customer. I got two tubes for $41–the regular retail is $24/each. Beauties, Imma like this mascara! It’s just so effortless; it glides on easily, makes lashes feel soft and pliable and gives awesome length and volume in one coat! Full Blown provides volume, length, is long wearing, has good pigment and won’t break the bank!
The brush somewhat echos the look of the tube–tapered at each end and wide in the middle. This allows you to get into the corners without getting any on the lids.
Look at this length! ’Nuff said.
There may be a little bit of smudging under lower lashes on this pic–not the fault of the mascara, but of me messing up my eyeliner–Doh!

Hi. My favorite mascara has been Cover Girl’s LASH BLAST (Waterproof – Black). My reasoning is that this mascara goes on wonderfully. The brush is thick and round and the bristles are plastic so it rarely clumps! It makes my eyes pop, and I only have to apply it once. I think it is reasonably priced ($8-$9)
and you can find it almost everywhere.

Of all the drugstore mascaras I do like Last Blast the best, especially the new Fusion–it just doesn’t give me the wow factor I’m looking for. LOL
believe it or not, maybelline define-a-lash is one of my FAVORITES. My eyelashes are prone to clumping together and I HATE using the extra step of a brush
my fav mascara is Lancome’s Hypnose. its so light on my lashes, the applicator is perfect for my eye shape, doesn’t smudge and comes off easy at the end of the day.

I’ve been a fan of Diorshow for a long time because it give nice volume with no smudging or flaking. Lately I’ve been playing with ohers ough, and have been really pleased with Estee Lauder Sumptuous BoldVolume Lifting mascara. It gives thick, glossy lashes that last all day with no smudging or flaking.
I’m liking Clinique High Lengths mascara lately. I love the consistency and the brush allows me to skip combing my lashes. Its the perfect daytime mascara.
I love Loreal’s voluminous mascara! It just really makes my lashes double in length and intensity! The formula is great! You do have to be careful and separate the lashes well because it applies thick but that’s why i love it! U cant beat the price either, under $10!

I’m a mascara fanatic, always in search of the perfect mascara and right now, I’m loving the new Lancome Precious Cells Mascara. I haven’t tried Laura Mercier products but am dying to since Ive heard so many great things about it. I love the lancome becuase it lengthens my lashes and creates volume without any clumpy mess or flaking. After using it a few weeks, I also believe my eyelashes have grown. I love the way it feels on my eyes, no irritation and no brittleness. I have nothing negative to say about it. I just love it.

my very favorite is now discontinued – dior’s maximEyes. cannot imagine why the discontinued such a fabulous product. my search for a suitable replacement has left a wake of half-used tube trailing behind me

I love cover Girl’s Lash Blast and it is within my price range.
My favorite mascara is a drugstore one called Rimmel Magnify. Â It is a true deep black color and makes my lashes look long and full. Â Plus no smearing or flaking.

I love trying mascaras, but the one I always end up going back to is CoverGirl’s LashBlast.
Covergirl Lash blast makes my lashes look like they’re fake!
I also love Laura Mercier eye-liner which looks like a small pressed powder eyeshadow. That is what I drop my Latisse on to line my eyelashes.
I love Shu Uemura and YSL  mascaras. But, they are not always in the budget. Right now I’m using Rimmel lycra lash extender…..ok, not great  ;)

First, I look forward to reading your blog. Find it entertaining and full of great information. I am presently using Lancome Inimitable. Like it but do not love it. It looks great on at first, but if you have to go out in the evening and try to add another coat, it clump and flakes all over your face. But, works great for a one shot of application, doesn’t smudge, which I really hate!
My favorite mascara is Maybelline’s Lash Discovery because the brush is so tiny that I can get the tiny little lashes at the inner corners of my eyes without smudging them.

I love Dior’s mascara because it doesn’t clump and it washed off easily
I admit I love l’oreal voluminous in carbon black–but I an dying to try something new! I love mascara–it’s an essential!

My favorite mascara right now is CoverGirl LashBlast Length mascara (the bright yellow tube:-), and I love it because it really does lengthen my lashes, but also I always have problems with clumping and this mascara totally takes care of that issue!
