Mascara Madness Day 3
Korres Abyssinia

This is day three of the five day series Mascara Madness–my quest to find the perfect mascara. All of the mascaras tested have Lancome Powerbooster as a primer, have two coats applied and my lashes were curled with my Shiseido lash curler. This is my baseline so as to be all scientific-like. :)

Korres Abyssinia mascara was a total surprise. I’ve never used a ‘natural’ mascara before and it feels great! It is enriched with Abyssinia oil, and you can certainly feel it the difference between this and most mascaras; lashes are soft not brittle, no flaking or smudging and no clumps!

  • Vitamin E and Provitamin B5 deeply condition lashes to prevent breakage
Bamboo extract strengthens and smoothes the outer layer of the lashes
  • Abyssinia Oil, rich in fatty acids ,provides natural luster and emollient feeling on the lashes while offering excellent pigment

The brush is much smaller than what I’m used which is nice. It is tapered at both ends and fuller in the middle making it super easy to manipulate. The formula is very wet, but buildable without clumps. Pigment is good for glossy black lashes. If you prefer length over volume and flirty natural looking lashes, then this mascara is for you. If you’re looking for huge, full, attention getting lashes, skip this mascara. However, I was very impressed with the lash conditioning properties, it makes your lashes feel great!  Abyssinia mascara is formulated without sulfates, parabens, synthetic fragrances, synthetic dyes, petrochemicals, phtalates, GMOs, and Triclosan. I didn’t know my other mascaras had this shizz! Available in black, brown, colbalt blue and plum.
