This week our Makeup Wars bloggers are discussing their favorite foundations. My list is not going to be very long, because when I find a foundation that works for me, I tend to stick with it. It one of the very few makeup items I actually use up before purchasing another.
My current favorite is SENNA Lasting Illusion Satin Matte Foundation (reviewed here). Foundations can be tricky for us over 40 gals. We need something that won’t sink into pores, accentuate wrinkles, or look thick and dry. Good news beauties, the SENNA Lasting Illusion Satin Matte Foundation may be our answer and it comes in 7 shades.
SENSAI Fluid Finish Lasting Velvet foundation (reviewed here) spreads easily and evenly with fingers. It does not creep into lines or creates shine. The finish is as close to airbrushed as I’ve ever come with a foundation. The long lasting claim is true–a good 10 hours on me.
Laura Mercier Oil Free Supreme Foundation (reviewed here) is an oil-free, lightweight formula is chock-full of good-for-your-skin ingredients such as: Aloe Bardadens, Green Tea Leaf Extract, Vitamin E and Vitamin A.
My favorite drugstore foundation option is Boots No. 7 Lift and Luminate foundation (reviewed here). This silky lightweight formula gives full coverage. The finish is somewhere in between dewy and matte–I would probably categorize it as satin, but with a nice luminosity to it that doesn’t make it look flat.
For a fabulous summer foundation, I love IT Cosmetics Anti-Aging CC Cream with SPF 50+ (reviewed here) is a full-coverage color-correcting cream, anti-aging serum, and broad-spectrum SPF 50+ all in one! It’s a dream come true for us over 40 gals. It’s got great coverage, is highly moisturizing, blends well, is available in a variety of shades and looks completely natural!
Let’s see what our Makeup Wars bloggers chose–I’m hoping to get some great recommendations!
