My first choice is Hello Lashes! by IT Cosmetics ($29 for 2). Hello Lashes! is touted as a 5-in-1 treatment product designed to eliminate the need for a lash conditioner, primer, lash comb/curler, lash growth serum and tint. The formula is the perfect consistency–not so thick as to cause clumps, but not so thin that it doesn’t plump lashes. I get great length, great separation, good volume, deep dark color and my lashes feel conditioned. Removal is easy with my Almay Eye Makeup Remover Pads. See the full review here.
The tube is big, wide and has an easy foam-grip handle making it easier to hold on was well as comfortable to use–me likey! The wand itself has a ball ‘detailer’ on the end to ensure every teeny tiny inside and outside lash is attended to. I use the ball detailer to add a little extra to the ends of my lashes too because BIGGER is better!

Too Faced Better Than False Lashes ($35) is a three step system. The idea is to get the look of lash extensions without the cost and hassle. I’m in! See my full review here.
First you apply the tubing mascara, then the fibers, then the mascara again. The mascara itself is a tubing mascara so it’s a bit drier than a regular mascara and has a stretchy texture. The brush has stiff bristles and a fairly typical shape. Since it is as tubing mascara, it doesn’t come off with makeup remover. You need to remove it with warm water and the “tubes” flake off–they look like tiny spider legs.
The result is amazing! It really does looks like I AM wearing false eye lashes! It takes some trial and error to learn how to apply each step properly but it’s totally worth it! If you don’t like tubing mascara, you can still use the fibers to achieve the same false eyelash look with your favorite mascara. I would totally pay $35 for this! That said, I do wish Too Faced would sell the Flexistretch™ nylon lash fibers separately. That might just revolutionize the cosmetics industry!!

My final pick is a brand-spankin’ new addition to the LastBlast line from COVERGIRL. the neon green LashBlast Clump Crusher ($7) packs a whole lotta goodness in it. COVERGIRL promises that you can apply up to 30 coats of mascara before Clump Crusher will actually clump! Is it true? Does the Clump Crusher live up to the claims? The answer is a resounding YES!
When I saw the green curved plastic brush it was love at first sight. The brush has pointy bristles of different lengths and thickness to allow the mascara to get in between lashes and pull them apart without leaving clumps behind. Genius!!!
You notice the difference in this mascara the minute you pull the wand out of the tube–look how clean that wand is! No clumps or extra glops on the end of the wand. The curve is EXACTLY the right shape the cover all your lashes and it’s easy to use. I’m honestly amazed at the separation and definition I got with LastBlast Clump Crusher. Look at all those lashes! You can see clump crusher covered every single lash I have! As an added bonus, it holds a curl all dang day!!
You just aren’t going to get a lot of volume with this mascara. Alas, there are all kinds of trade offs in life. LastBlast Clump Crusher is fantastic for flirty, natural looking lashes with great separation.
I’m liking it more and more–I can definitely see this having a starring role in my mascara rotation.
Prime Beauty Grade: A- the minus if for lack of volume but the separation is so good, it actually makes it appear as if you have more lashes!
