This week our beauty bloggers are dishing about their favorite products and tools for terrific tresses. My post will probably be one of the shortest as there are not many tools I use and only a few products since everything seems to weigh down my hair.
John Freida’s Conair Salon Shape Hot Air Brush ($39.99) is THE only tool (besides a hair dryer) I use on my hair. I’ve found through the years that this type of curling iron is the only thing that works for my thin, fine hair. For years I put up with a Revlon hot air brush that would get way too hot and leave my hair tangled. Thank goodness for the John Freida Conair Salon Shape Hot Air Brush! The bristles are soft and pliable so they don’t hurt my scalp and don’t leave my hair in tangles. The John Freida Conair Hot Air Brush also has ionic technology that produces up to 50% more ions when compared to hot air brushes with natural ion sources, and delivers voluminous curls and waves. The 1″ ceramic barrel is perfect for my hairstyle. There are two heat settings, as well as a cool setting with 500 watts of power to help dramatically reduce frizz. After ashing my hair, I use my Sultra hairdryer, leaving my hair damp then switch to the air brush (on the high setting) to finish drying and curling. Finally I give my roots a shot of cool air to add additional volume. The whole process takes about 10 minutes. I’ve noticed too, that my hair dries faster with this brush.
Some of the products I use and love:
Alterna Bamboo Beach Summer Ocean Waves Spray review here. I use this to add texture to my hair so it doesn’t fall flat.
Nexxus Youth Renewal Plump and Blow Dry Spray, reviewed here. Sometimes I use this on my roots to give me extra volume.
Marc Anthony Oil of Morocco Volume Hairspray. I LOVE this hairspray! It not only keeps the volume going, but it’s not sticky or stiff and actually makes my hair shine! Argan Oil, Keratin and Grape Seed Oil gives you strong but flexible hold plus deep nourishment, strengthening and conditioning. The spray is extremely fine which I like too.Pin It
