As a older, single, girly girl, no one is going to pamper me so I really enjoy by at-home spa time. I thought I was pretty low maintenance but after calculating all the products it takes to keep my hair shiny, my skin moisturized, my feet smooth and my face glowing, I have to admit I’m more of a high maintenance gal than I thought!

Keep in mind I don’t do ALL these things on the same day–it would take forever! As it is, it takes a warehouse of products to keep me looking, feeling and smelling ravishing! :) Here is my regimen:

Some of these products were press samples and some were purchased by me

DAG510

HAIR:

DermOrganic Masque Hair Repair – an intensive deep conditioner that revitalizes and repairs damaged hair from the inside out. Instead of coating the hair, DermOrganic works deep, depositing amino acids to strengthen and smooth each individual hair from the inside out while replenishing real, natural moisture. I use this once a week as a deep conditioning mask but it can be used as an everyday conditioner. For everyday, I use the DermOrganic Leave-In Treatment, it’s made with Certified Argan Oil of Morocco. It tames my flyaways, makes my hair shiny, detangles and cuts my drying time in half! Yes, it’s true!!

FACE:

Once a week I do a substantial peel using the Ellen Lange Retexturizing Peel Kit ($68) is an effective, yet gentle, exfoliation process that removes dull surface cells to reveal healthy new skin. This peel kit combines glycolic acid, microbeads and enzymes to create an extremely effective at home peel.

This peel is fun to use and leaves my skin feeling soft and velvety smooth. The rough spots on my chin and nose instantly looked and felt smoother. This is great peel for exfoliating, creating and maintaining a  healthy radiant glow for over 40 women. Read my full review here.

When I a need a lighter “freshen” up peel or my skin is acting up, I love Reviva Labs Light Skin Peel. It’s also fun to use (peel it off) and my skin feels soft for days. This is suitable for sensitive or acne prone skin too and it’s only $20! See my full review on A Girl’s Gotta Spa.

After a peel, I like to apply one of my heavy-duty moisturizers and the KenzoKi Belle de Jour White Lotus Mask is perfect for a spa day! Everything about the Belle de Jour Mask is luxurious, including the lovely packaging. After cleansing, I brush on a thick coat inhaling the lovely soft powdery scent, close my eyes and envision being in an upscale spa in a big fluffy robe next to a cozy fireplace. After about 10 minutes, I remove the excess with a cotton ball and my skin feels smooth and silky. I like to go through this quick ritual just before bed–I wake in the morning with radiant luminous skin and the bonus is that I sleep better! This mask a wonderful treat for dehydrated winter skin and women over 40 to add some brightness to dull skin.

BODY:

I’ve found the ideal combination for soft, silky skin and I’m excited to tell you about it! I start in the shower with my Beautisol Hammam Deep Exfoliating Mitt ($12) (full review here) to exfoliate rough dry skin, then follow with Dove’s Winter Care Body Wash.

Most body washes are thin and have the consistency of dishwashing detergent. Dove Winter Care is the thickest, creamiest body wash I’ve ever used. The lather is incredible and it really IS moisturizing. There is a soft pleasant scent and there is TONS of the most creamy lather!  A huge 24. oz. bottle is only $6.99 and is available through this month only.  No need to rush out and try to find it though, Dove’s Visible Softening Crème Body Wash is very similar.

After my shower I follow with Mama Mio O-Mega Body Oil ($35). This is probably the best moisturizing treatment I’ve had the pleasure of using yet! It is extremely hydrating, NOT greasy, absorbs ultra fast and gives immediate results. The scent is very light, fresh and clean–a lovely combination of citrus and white floral that doesn’t overpower. It is pricey, but I think having soft, supple skin is worth it. Highly recommended!

If you prefer a relaxing, indulgent bath over a shower, you’ve got to try Champney’s Bubble Heaven. Now the world-class U.K. spa favored by the Royals is available at Target! Champney’s  provides tons of luxurious bubbles but also plenty of skin softening oils. My skin feels soft and moisturized and the bathroom smells fabulous! There are three scents available, my favorite is Distant Shores–a combination of passion fruit, mango and citrus oils. Each container is 10.1 fl. oz. for plenty of soothing, tranquil baths.

And moving on down to the tootsies….

Freeman Beauty Foot Repair! for Callus Softening ($6.99) - Spread on a thin layer to clean, dry feet and wait about 10 minutes, then gently rub and all the dry dead skin comes sloughing off. I was amazed at how well this did at exfoliating and it left my feet very soft and smooth.

Freeman Beauty Foot Repair! for Cracked Heels ($6.99) - this balm has a fresh avocado-cucumber scent and is super moisturizing. I rubbed it in and then slept with cotton socks on and the next morning my feet were like new! See the full review here.

I’m especially interested in trying the “Mama Mio O-Mega Body Oil” since I have eczema. Luckily, this winter I was able to stay ahead of it. And body oils containing Omega 3′s are a MUST. This sounds great!! Thx , Cindy! (cute masque, btw! ;-) )
