Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish Blush – Beauty All Star

Although Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish Blush ($25) is not a new product, it is undeniably deserving of the Prime Beauty “All Star” title.

Make Up For Ever HD Blushcombines mattifying and reflecting powders to create a softer focus effect and finish for a radiant blushing complexion. Originally designed for televison and HD cameras, the ultra-fine texture blends easily and leaves behind a healthy, long lasting glow!  Why has it made my Beauty All Star list? I thought you’d never ask.  It’s a cream formula, extremely long wearing, available in 14 luscious colors,  quick and easy to apply with fingers, and imparts a pretty glow.  A little goes a loooong way–you need only a dot–I’m not kidding, any more than that and you’ll look like a graduate of Clown College. I have #6 Quickie a pretty coral (big surprise) and #8 PDA, a pinky nude that pulls a bit peach on my warm skin.  All the shades are beautiful and very pigmented. The packaging has improved since these blushes first hit counters last year. The pump bottle is a little more regulated now, the older versions tended to deliver too much product and you ended up wasting a lot. I feel this blush formulation should really be called a stain because it is soooo long lasting with absolutely no fading. Use your fingers or a stippling brush for the most natural look–this blush will not sit on top of the skin. Another great quality of MUFE HD Microfinish blushes is that it works for all skin types–it won’t slide off oily skin or settle into lines on dry skin. Whoohoo!

  1. I can’t believe I haven’t tried this yet!

  2. Hi Cindy…I’m finally back! I can’t believe I haven’t tried these yet. I really need to head to Sephora…thanks for the great review, and for putting yet another, ummm, “need” on my list!

  3. I bought these the minute they came out but I bought the two lightest shades and they were awful for me. They magnified the already large pores on my cheeks unfortunately. I have a 100 point sample though from Sephora that’s a better shade and while it’s not perfect for because of my pores, it’s much better and quite pretty.

  4. I can’t believe I haven’t tried this yet, either. I use MUFE F&B foundation and HD powder every day, so the blush would be a natural progression. The #8 PDA seems like one I might like!

    • Definitely try the colors in person, Zuzu. They are different than what they look like in the pump bottle.

  5. I’ve got PDA – this looks natural and you need so little.
