Lisa Hoffman (the actor Dustin’s spouse) has married her lovely fragrances with beautiful fine pieces of jewelry letting you “wear fragrance your way.” Each piece of jewelry includes a round charm that encases round wooden beads featuring a proprietary delivery system that slowly releases perfume as they are exposed to air.
The collection includes bracelets, necklaces and earrings.
This is such a fabulous idea I don’t know why someone didn’t think of it earlier! Fragrance jewelry is a stylish sophisticated way to personalize your scent AND your look!
Lisa’s attention to detail is impressive. The fragrance beads are made from very fine wood flour from organic conifer trees grown in sustainable and replenished tree farms and forests. They are a byproduct of the agricultural industry and will eventually biodegrade. Once the scent has depleted, usually in one to two weeks, you simple open the charm and replace the beads–I use 5-6 beads. Each piece of jewelry comes with a jar containing enough scented beads for six refills that equal a full bottle of fragrance.
I chose the red jade bracelet with the Tunisian Neroli scent. Tunisian Neroli is a blend of precious neroli flower, ylang ylang and golden amber. All of Lisa Hoffman’s fragrances have an enchanting story, and this one is Tunisian Neroli:
Actually someone did think of it earlier. It’s called a Pomander (according to wikipedia a mid-thirteenth century concept). Last year Jewelmint even came out with a piece they called “The Pomander Pendant”. I love to put a bit of cotton in there with my scent when I’m traveling. It’s one of my favorite Jewelmint pieces.
Regardless, it’s something I love.
