New for February and just in time for Valentine’s Day, is Leila Lou Eau de Parfum by Rosie Jane. Previously, my experience with Rosie Jane Cosmetics was limited to the lovely Eye Defines in Beech Tree an absolute favorite of mine.
Leila Lou is a sweet feminine scent that conjures up images of Victorian ladies at their vanities with their powder puffs, though there are no powdery notes thank goodness. It has an old-fashioned vibe; of a more innocent era when women were seen as delicate mysterious beings.
With top notes of nectarine & fresh cut grass, heart notes of pear blossom & jasmine and base notes of vanilla and cotton musk this scent will embrace you as an original and refreshing signature scent. I swear I smell violet in there too! Leila Lou may be pure and sweet tempered but she opens up like a tainted hussy–bold! Leave her alone and let me adapt to her surroundings (and your chemisty) for a bit and she calms down to be her more ladylike self.
Leila Lou is no shrinking violet, she lasts all day without being overpowering. I so enjoy getting a small whiff of myself throughout the day.
Packaging is clean and simple, a frosted glass jar with girly pink details. If you love light, delicate, floral scents that LAST, you may want to make friends with Leila Lou.
