Le Métier de Beauté has released five new glosses for spring–Three of them in the Lip Crème formula ($36 ) and two in the Sheer Brilliance ($32) formula. I much prefer the Lip Crèmes, they are more pigmented, are longer lasting and truthfully for $36 smackers they better be! The Sheer Brilliance formula is too sheer for my taste–I want some color to show for my $32, know what I mean?
Lip Crèmes are a hybrid gloss and lipstick with incredible pigmentation. Le Métier de Beauté Lip Crémes are my very favorite formula for a gloss from ANY brand. They are light, smooth, non-sticky and glide on effortlessly. Vitamins and antioxidants help keep your lips supple and kissable. The best thing about them though, is that they last longer than any other lip gloss I have EVER tried!! Seriously, I can get at least 4 hours sometimes 5 out of these glosses. They are not high shine but still have a glossy finish that makes lips appear fuller, smoother and just beautiful. I think that is what sets Le Métier de Beauté’s lip crémes apart and makes them so popular among beauty junkies. I just wish I could describe how luxurious they feel on the lips.
I purchased the Neiman Marcus exclusive, Pink Berry. This chic shade is near perfection. My friend at The Ultimate Makeup tells me Pink Berry is the incarnation of Cebu, a counter exclusive for Neiman Marcus Tyson’s Galleria. No matter, it is a striking and elegant shade that should have universal appeal. Pink Berry is a warm medium pink with a gorgeous gold sheen that borders on metallic. It has the slightest bit of micro shimmer that lends dimension to the lips without adding sparkles, glitter or grittiness. It brightens the face nicely. Le Métier de Beauté gives us stunning and unique shades in their lip créme selection and I love them for it!
- Dulce de Leche
- Pink-e Promise
Sheer Brilliance Lip Glosses have an ultra-lightweight formula that is never sticky. The high gloss finish is sheer and has a very nice slip. This formula is also enriched with emollients and antioxidants to make your lips feel and look great. Le Métier de Beauté always suggests layering their lip colors and the sheer brilliant glosses are ideal for that.
Dulce de Leche is a cool peachy nude, Pink-e Promise is a blue-based medium pink with an opaque finish. I had a hard time deciding between this and Pink Berry. I ultimately chose Pink Berry for it’s golden sheen and depth over Pink-e Promise which I thought was a bit flat.
Bottom Line: Le Métier de Beauté lip glosses are top-of-the-line and I am hard pressed to find a brand that can compare on all levels. Yes, they are pricey but you will not find anything that feels as lush on your lips. The shades are elegant, stylish and unique.
