Those of you that read Prime Beauty regularly know that I have a mascara addiction. Mascara and I have been together since I was 14, it’s my must-have, desert island product. Yeah, mascara and I have a thang. Like boyfriends there are good, bad and meh mascaras and when you find a good one, you don’t let go! LashControl is one of the good ones I’m hanging onto.
LashControl has three formulas with a waterproof version coming soon. Pink Squeeze is for length, Purple Squeeze for volume and Clear Squeeze for brows. I have fairly long lashes so I tried Purple Squeeze to build volume. As an over 40 woman, my lashes have thinned over the years along with a lot of other things like brows. Why the H-E-double hockey sticks can’t my rear thin too??
Anywho, the thing that makes this mascara unique is the delivery system. It’s housed in a tube with a rubber cylinder in the middle of the tube. The idea is that you squeeze the rubber cylinder as you pull the wand from the tube. By doing this, the wand will have the perfect amount of product on it. What I love about this is that you get NO excess mascara on the wand, thereby eliminating clumps! There are no big blobs of mascara on the wand that you have to tissue off. Do be aware, if you DON’T squeeze, you will get a dry wand.
I really like the brush too. It ‘s doesn’t have a huge barrel that makes it difficult to use and the “teeth” separate lashes beautifully. I used two coats in this picture and didn’t get clumping. YOU control how much mascara you want–squeeze A LOT as you pull the brush out for a natural, enhanced look. Squeeze A LITTLE if you are looking for drama and layer, layer, layer!
