Yes, beauties I drank the Kool-aid and joined the cult known as the Mallynistas. I recently purchased the Mally Beauty Pro Tips & Tricks Collection from QVC. When I purchased it, it was a Today’s Special Value for about $50 and change. I believe it now sells for $66–either way it’s a great value for an 8-pc set. Most kits have one or two items that you end giving away or that just don’t work for you– I can honestly say, I really like everything in this collection and have a few new loves as well. The Mally Pro Tips & Tricks Collection includes:
- Travel-size Evercolor Poreless Face Defender
- Extra Hold Brow Gel in Clear
- 24/7 Blush in Pink Nectar, Light or Deep
- Volumizing mascara in Black-
- Evercolor Starlight automatic waterproof eyeliner in Onyx, blackest black
- Evercolor Shadow Stick in Twilight, a taupe with hints of gray and brown
- High Shine liquid lipstick in Must-have Pink
- Double-ended Blush Brush
- Pink makeup bag
The only other product I’ve ever purchased from Mally was her 3-pc Cancellation Concealer set and I wasn’t crazy about it. This collection has me doing a complete about face. When Mally says ‘bullet proof” makeup she means it! These products are NOT coming off until you take them off. Most kits have a few less than stellar products mixed in, but these are all highly wearable and will quickly become staples in your makeup bag.
Evercolor Poreless Face Defender – this product does what every translucent powder I’ve ever tried should have done. I stipple on forehead, chin, nose and the area on each side of my nose (where my pores are larger) with the enclosed sponge and viola! No pores, no noticeable cakey powder, just smooth looking skin. You need only use a very small amount! The first time I used it, I applied with a brush (not a good idea) and used too much—I couldn’t understand why this product was getting rave reviews. Applied properly, with the enclosed sponge and a light hand, you’ll wonder what you ever did without it.
Extra Hold Brow Gel– I use this after either my Laura Mercier or IT Cosmetics Brow Power Brow Pencil. I let those products ‘set’ a bit and then apply the brow gel to keep the strays at bay. It works wonderfully and lasts all day.
24/7 Blush in Pink Nectar, Light or Deep – I chose light for my fair skin. This is a gorgeous blush ‘system.’ The cream blush goes on first with the flat part of the included brush, then the powder goes on top with the fluffy end of the brush. By adding the powder on top, it helps to make the blush last longer. The two shades also make it easy to contour. Kelly from Gouldylox Reviews has a wonderful explanation of the system along with pics of her wearing it. We are both fair and this blush is a fair-skinned ladies dream. Apply with a heavier hand for darker skin tones or choose the deep color.
Volumizing mascara in Black– I was not expecting to like this mascara–it seems to be an easy place to scrimp in kits. I’ll admit, I wasn’t completely sold on the first few tries but after using for a few weeks, I like this mascara very much, it really does lengthen and I only need one coat to get good length and volume. No flaking or clumping, my only complaint is that it dries up very quickly, but so does DiorShow at $24 a tube. You can usually get a Mally Volumizing duo for $28 which brings it down to $14/each and there are drugstore mascaras that will cost you that much without the spectacular results you get from Mally. Look how long my lashes are!
Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner (black) – I am in awe of this eyeliner! When Mally says it doesn’t smudge or move, she MEANS it! It just amazes me that this eyeliner can be so creamy and smooth and still wear like iron. These apply like buttah, no skipping or tugging. Even Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner and Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes can smudge in the outer corner of my eye, but not Mally!! It will NOT come off, you have a few seconds to manipulate it and then it’s set. The black shade is really dark but somehow it doesn’t look harsh. I love this eyeliner so much, I ordered the Glam Time set also–Sailor-a deep navy, Espresso-dark brown and Pink Champagne-a shimmery pink pearl that is perfect for the inner corner to brighten the eyes and can be used on the brow bone or even on the waterline to brighten.
Evercolor Shadow Stick in Twilight –Twilight is a new shade- a beautiful shimmery metallic taupe that won’t crease or budge–another ‘bullet proof’ product with no primer needed. In fact, the first time I used this, I used a primer and it made the eyeshadow stick too thick–much better without. Mally says these will smooth out crepey lids and I tend to agree that lids at least appear smoother. Use your fingers or a cream brush to apply, use as an eyeliner, smoke it up! Twilight is a universally flattering shade and looks equally lovely for a sophisticated office look or smoked up for a night on the town. Again, I’ve never had a cream eye shadow wear like this one!
High Shine liquid lipstick in Must-have Pink – a soft, fresh neutral pink with high shine. I’m not a fan of click pens, as there is so much waste. Mally’s liquid lipstick is pretty, I just wish it lasted a bit longer, but it does smells nice and this shade is very nice for everyday wear.
The Mally Beauty Pro Tips & Tricks Collection is ideal for a easy, sophisticated and polished look. All the products are high quality wearable shades that LAST. I’ve been wearing this entire kit on weekends because it’s so quick and easy.
