The theme for this month’s Ipsy Glam Bag is Fresh Picks. If your not familiar, Ipsy is a monthly subscription bag. For only $10 a month you get a great mix of full and sample size beauty products from great brands and a cute makeup bag too! I particularly like the Ipsy Glam Bag because for the most part, they keep your coloring and preferences in mind. If you ever decide to join, please use my link here.
There were 26 products available and I think everyone got five products. Most of my May bag contains skincare but that doesn’t bother me because I like all the products. I do wish I would have received a lip product but Lord knows I have enough!
Here’s what’s in my May bag:
dermaE Microdermabrasion Scrub ($5?) – I have the full size version of this and I like it as well as the brand in general. I will probably put this in my travel makeup bag.
Hang 10 Classic Sport Sunscreen SPF 50 ($3) – this line is made by Coola, and uses organic ingredients and is free of parabens, synthetic fragrances, etc. I’m happy to be able to try this sunscreen and it’s very reasonably priced!
pur~lisse pur-moist hydra-balance moisturizer ($9?) – this moisturizer goes on like a gel and hydrates a cream. It has anti-aging properties and is safe for dry/sensitive skin. It’s very lightweight and goes on smooth with a delightful slight lemony scent. Me likey!
hey Honey, take it off exfoliating face mask ($7?) – this is a honey-infused peel-off mask that helps you achieve a smooth, clear complexion. You spread it over your face, wait 15-20 minutes, and peel it off. This is a very small sample, you’ll get maybe three applications out of it. I’m not impressed with this mask; the consistency is too thin and since it’s clear, it’s hard to tell if you got an even application on. It didn’t peel very well, which to me defeats the purpose of a peel-off mask. I won’t purchase but I am glad I did get to try it.
Pacifica Mineral Eyeshadow Duo #1 Celestial & Opal ($10?) – these coconut infused mineral eye shadows are nicely pigmented. I have the Pacifica Brightening Palette and really like the colors and the performance. Celestial & Opal shades can be found in the Mystical and Charmed Palettes; these duos were made specifically for Ipsy. Celestial is a matte soft pink and Opal is a shimmery copper. Pacifica eyeshadows are vegan and cruelty-free. These are MY shades so I’m very happy with this.
I love my Ipsy bags and I can honestly say that in a year, there was only one I wasn’t pleased with. From what I can guess, the value of May’s bag is $34. If you choose to subscribe, please use my link here.
Note: all products in my Ipsy bag were sample sizes–I’m not sure if the Pacifica eyeshadow duo is full size or not.
