Ipsy Glam Bag for February: Review, Pics, Swatches

IPSY Glam Bag- February

Purchased by me

The Ipsy Glam Bag for February does not disappoint–it a major improvement over January (reviewed here). Ipsy is the only beauty subscription box I kept and not cancelled. For only $10 a month you get a great mix of full and sample size beauty products from great brands and a cute makeup bag too! I particularly like the Ipsy Glam Bag because for the most part, they keep your coloring and preferences in mind. If you do decide to join, please use my link here.

Now, onto February’s bag! The theme is The Look of Love, I’m assuming to tie for Valentine’s Day (duh)! Here is I what I received in my bag:

Contents of Ipsy Bag Feb. 2014

The bag this month is a bright pink with a white zipper and a cute pink leopard print lining. NO plastic smell either!

City Color Be Matte Blush Fresh Melon ($3, full size) – this is quite a big pan, however the pigment was a bit lacking for me. I’m fairly pale and I have to really pack it on. The shade is more orange than pink, but there are 4 shades available. I have used City Color cream blush before and liked it.

Eyetini Cordial Cream Shadow and Base in One in Ambrosia ($18, full size) – ah-mazing! This lovely cream eye shadow is totally budge proof, blends easily and is both a wearable yet unique shade. It certain light it can look mauve, bronze or brown.

IPKIN Moist and Firm BB Cream (sample size$5?, reg. $35) – I’m not impressed with this BB cream. I received the light shade and you can see it is not a good match–it has way too much yellow in it. I also thought it emphasizes my lines and wrinkles. Some people got a Pacifica body cream and I would have preferred that.

Zoya Nail Lacquer in Dot ($9, full size) – I love ZOYA polish, it wears like iron, the shades are unique and it is 5-free. This shade is dot, a very, very pale feminine pink perfect for spring.

POP Beauty Plump Pout ($8? $16, reg. price) – love it! The texture is very lightweight and non-sticky. The shade is a lovely medium pink shade that looks so natural! This beauty will live in my purse for quick touchups.

POP Peony Petal

I got this bonus for having 1,000 points. Every time someone signs up, I get bonus points and can receive a bonus product in my next bag. I actually chose Benefit Bad Gal Lash ($10) for my co-worker who loves this mascara. She’s a tomboy I’m making her into a girl 🙂

Bottom Line: another IPSY bag that hits the mark! I will get a lot of use out of these products with the exception of the BB cream, that will probably go in the giveaway box. I’m really delighted to have discovered the POP Beauty gloss and EyeTini cream eye shadow–those are things I’m sure I will repurchase. The estimated total value of my bag this month is about $53 so once again I got my money’s worth! This is a great bag for a pretty everyday look and IPSY hit it out of the park again! • Lots of nice goodies in this bag. I am convinced. I need to try this for myself.

  • Evil enabler. I signed up and used your link. I hope that they don’t suck, now. LOL

  • I like the Eyetini you got. Mine is a brighter more coppery shade. Good month’s box though.
