Wander Beauty is the brainchild of model Lindsay Ellingson. If I could be one millionth as beautiful as Lindsay, by using her products, I’d buy a crate full!
“It’s for the modern woman who’s traveling and doing her makeup in a taxi like I did this morning,” she says. “The colors are soft and blendable, and they’re free of fragrance, mineral oil, and parabens,” says Ellingson. “I worked for months on the highlighter…. I wanted something different that wasn’t chalky, white, or too pink.”
The brand launched in spring, but is now available on QVC. I heard about it from my good friend and fellow blogger Marcia at Beauty Info Zone and after reading her post, I had to have the 4 pc. Paris collection. I’ve never been to Paris, but it is on my bucket list! It’s said that Parisian women are effortlessly chic and this collection accomplishes that.
- 0.22-oz Exquisite Eye Liquid Shadow in Dove Gray
- 0.07-oz Catch the Light Highlighter in Ivory
- 0.07-oz Love Lock Hydrating Lip Gel in Parisian Red
- 0.20-oz Wanderess Cheek Tint in Dusty Rose
Exquisite Eye Liquid Shadow in Dove Gray – this liquid eyeshadow is simply stunning! Dove Gray is a chameleon that changes from taupe to gray to pale mauve. I describe it as Graupe–a combination of gray and taupe. Okay, I might need to rethink that name. Regardless, it’s highly pigmented or if you prefer, it sheers out beautifully and it does NOT crease. The doe foot makes application a breeze. This eyeshadow is what sold me on the collection, it’s just perfection! There are three more shades available for individual purchase: Bronze, Mocha and Champagne.
Catch the Light Highlighter – this ivory highlighter is housed in a convenient lipstick tube that make application a no-brainer. It’s very subtle with no discernible glitter or sparkle. I use it on top on brows, cheekbones and in my cupid’s bow. It’s very easy to blend and adds a nice luminosity. I admit, I don’t use highlighters much, but since this is a cream and in such usable packaging, that may change.
Love Lock Hydrating Lip Gel – has a lovely gel texture that applies smoothly. It’s formulated with a cocktail of vitamins C & E and natural humectants and feels more than a balm than a lipstick. Parisian Red is a sheer red that appears more pink on my fair skin. I like the hydrating feel of this, but because of that it doesn’t last long on the lips.
Wanderess Cheek Tint – I thought this was a lipgloss from the tube packaging but it is a liquid cheek tint–surprise! I applied 3 tiny dots on each cheek. It wasn’t quite enough so I added another dot to each cheek and that was too much so it will take a bit of experimentation to get it just right. The color is described as a dusty pink, but on my warm skin tone, it looks more in the orange/peach family. It blends out easily but be fast!
The packaging has a very high end feel with the gold and burgundy tubes and gold logo. I appreciate that all the products are packaged to apply easily too.
The Wander Beauty Paris Collection is great for those no-brainer days when you want an everyday polished look that’s quick and easy. Although there is nothing particularly unique about the colors, I’m loving and using every piece. I can’t wait to try more from the brand!
Bottom Line: a wonderfully affordable makeup collection to create effortless chic looks. You cannot beat $49.96 for a 4 pc. collection!
