In the world of cosmetics, seasons don’t follow nature or the calendar. We first saw Holiday collections appear online and in stores back in August! If you haven’t noticed, I don’t buy in to that way of thinking. However, now that Thanksgiving is over, I’m ready to get my shop on! I thought you might want to see all my reviews of the Holiday collections in one place so click on the links to read the full reviews. I am only one person so I can’t possibly review ALL brands therefore I’ve linked to other’s reviews where appropriate.
Urban Decay was one of the first to release part of their Holiday collection with the Fun, Feminine and Dangerous palettes. I reviewed the Feminine Palette and I think it’s fun too! Later I couldn’t resist the Friends and Family sale and picked up the Holiday Smoked 24/7 Glide-On Pencil Set–the colors are spectacular!
Anastasia’s You Want Me to Want You eye shadow palette isn’t full of Holiday colors, but rather an everyday staple. The Holiday Collection harkens back to the 70’s with the names of the products taking on 1970’s Classic Rock titles. Example: the Kisses On My List Lip Gloss Collection.
Tarte’s Holiday Collection, Baby It’s Bold Outside has a huge variety of sets that are sure to please everyone on your list. And if you’re it’s excitement you’re looking for, you’ve found it with Tarte’s Big Thrill Collection–one of the BEST of the season.
bareMinerals Holiday Collection is the largest I’ve seen in recent years. The palettes and skin care assortments are especially nice and many include cute makeup bags or glitzy clutches!
Sephora has some darling gift sets at budget prices perfect for stuffing stockings!
One of VERY favorite skin care brands, Kiehl’s has a gift set that’s a triple threat! The Limited Edition Creme de Corps by Kenny Scarf is a luxurious body moisturizer, a piece of art and a charitable contribution all in one.
A Holiday makeup look would not be complete without radiant skin. Read about my Top 5 Highlighters for glowing skin for the holidays.
Benefit takes a less traditional and more practical look at makeup with their Holiday collections. The theme seems to be travel–I’m especially fond of the She’s So Jetset palette.
Laura Mercier sparkles for the Holidays with traditional shades of gold, silver and red. Her palettes are fabulous for travel and the petite baked eye shadow palettes will make you glisten at those Holiday parties!
I’ve got a sure-fire way not to gain weight during the holidays! Curb your chocolate cravings with LORAC’s Sweet Temptations Holiday 2012 Collection.
Holiday time is one of the few times during the year I feel I can amp up makeup without being too conspicuous . If you’re looking for that perfect red lippie, check out this edition of Makeup Wars–Battle of the Red Lippie.
Blushing Noir gives us the 411 on stunning Holiday Regard Signe de Chanel Quadra Eye Shadowin Harmonie du Soir. I think I need this one.
P.S. I will be giving away some of these fabulous products starting next week!!
