Hello Bright Eyes with Dermalogica Stress Positive Eye Lift!

Press Sample

My introduction to Dermalogica was the Daily Superfoliant (reviewed here), a resurfacing product that is gentle enough to use every day and now has a permanent place on my vanity. The brand just launched a revolutionary new product that is a treatment and mask in one! Dermalogica Stress Positive Eye Lift ($65) is a leave-on eye masque that promises to brighten, lift, de-puff and energize. Uh, that’s a lot of promises! Does Stress Positive Eye Lift live up to them? First, you may be wondering what “stress positive” means, I know I did! According to Dermalogica, stress positive means–to embrace stress as an opportunity that leads to a positive outcome. We all suffer from stress and scientists have discovered that stress can be good for us. For example, stress can help us grow, stay alert, be more motivated and have more energy–if we have a positive mindset. The skin around the eyes is some of the thinnest and most delicate on the body. This makes it one of the first to show signs of stress. Dermalogica Stress Positive Eye Lift can help!

Thank you for the Prime Beauty Mirror, Dermalogica!

Now that we know about stress, let me explain this unique product and it’s equally unique application. This cooling cream-gel mask contains Wild Indigo Seed actives to illuminate the eye area and help reduce the appearance of dark circles, Fermented Yeast and a unique Hyaluronic Acid blend firm skin to help generate a lifting effect while Sea Water Extract and Arctic Algae counter the look of puffiness and heavy under-eye bags. Bioactive Diglucosyl Gallic Acid works with your skin’s natural microbiome (microorganisms) to brighten and energize the eye area. The high-performance formula minimizes the appearance of puffiness and dark circles, increases skin luminosity, lifts the eye area and helps restore skin barrier integrity. I absolutely love the texture of this creamy gel. It glides on and has a velvety feel when it dries down yet doesn’t pill or crack. It provides hydration all day and performs superbly under concealer and foundation. It feels so good, I find myself touching my under-eye area during the day just to feel how smooth it is!

Applying Stress Positive Eye Lift is quite different. Starting on the right eye, generously apply 6 dots of product: 3 under the brow bone and 3 under the eye. Press and lift up at the inner, center and outer corners of your eye brow. Hold each lift for 1-2 seconds and glide between lifts. Continue to glide gently under your eye, back to the starting point under your brow. Repeat all movements 3 times on each eye. Leave on for 3-5 minutes and massage in any excess gel. Hint: don’t use as much gel as I did here–I had too much left over! Also, I make my breakfast or do my hair while I’m waiting for that 3-5 minutes–it takes that long to fully absorb and dry.

To de-puff,  make circles gently under your eye from the outer corner to the inner corner, then back toward the outer corner–repeat 3 times on each eye. The cool metal applicator tip really helped lessen my under-eye bags. I swear this really works to lift the brow area. Within the last few years, my brows have begun to sag like they are hanging on for dear life and my eyes are becoming hooded! I used to have a lot more eyelid real estate! The effect is temporary but I think with continual use, it might make a difference. I can only pray to the skincare gods!

Watch this video to get a clearer picture of how to apply. She’s much better to look at too!

This is how AWFUL the bags under my eyes can be! I hope you can see clearly in the picture how the bags under my eyes were reduced in the after (right side) eye!

I’ve been using the masque once a day every morning and am so pleased with the results and know my eye area will continue to improve. My under bags and crow’s feet are honestly the only things I hate about aging. I sometimes feel embarrassed of the full set of luggage I carry under my eyes so I am so grateful to have something to help that doesn’t involve surgery!

I give Dermalogica Stress Positive Eye Lift an A+. Between this and the Daily Superfoliant, Dermalogica is my new favorite skincare brand!

I have always suffered from dark circles, nothing has really helped. My main concern now is anti aging. I just hit my 40’s but my eyes are looking more like my 50’s. Darker circles, puffy from stress and lack of sleep and way to many tiny wrinkles. The results look incredible and sounds like a mini spa treatment.

  • kirst187

Wow! I think that these are some amazing results! My mom and sisters and I were just talking about this very issue this last weekend. I will have to let them know. Thank you!

  • marciaf

Most eye creams burn if they get into my eyes. You would think something targeted for the eye area would be safe if it makes a small bit of accidental contact.
