Frugal Friday – RoC Retinol Correction Daily Resurfacing Discs and The “You and Improved” Challenge

French Macaroons!

Drum Roll please……I am thrilled to announce that I have been chosen as one of a select group of bloggers to serve as a RoC Skincare Ambassador!  I feel fortunate to be able to partner with such a great skincare brand and look forward to learning more about the products and the extensive research that goes into developing them. I already know that RoC is a mass market line that offers clinically proven products that are highly effective at an affordable price. That’s impressive!  I’m also impressed with their understanding of the aging process and really like what they are doing in skincare.

Look at all the goodies they sent! They even included an assortment of French macaroons–they didn’t fare very well in shipping, but they still tasted delicious!! I will be testing and reviewing ASAP as well as reporting on the newest products an conducting giveaways. Today I’m going to tell you about the first product I tried–I may be a little biased because I like anything that saves me time and is convenient. I’m down with it–like totally down.

The great things about these pre-moistened pads is that they are soap-free, oil-free, hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic. Each disk has two sides; one smooth for gentle cleansing and the other side is textured for exfoliation. The disks are self-foaming–just wet your face and go for it! RoC claims they are ks are clinically shown to improve the appearance of skin in as little as 1 week while being gentle enough for everyday use.  I haven’t used them for an entire week yet but I do like that they are gentle enough to not make my skin feel stripped. I will honestly say I won’t use these everyday–my Darphin Cleansing Balm is too luxurious to give up (review coming soon), but I will use them on nights when I want to wash my face quickly.

RoC Daily Resurfacing Disks

RoC Daily Resurfacing Disks  do exactly that–save me time. Sometimes I’m just too damn tired to take off my makeup at night. I do really try to be good about it, but there are times I just don’t have the energy to go through my nightly routine. I’ve tried several brands of makeup wipes, but most of them leave my skin feeling dry, especially if I use them for more than a few days in a row.  Plus, I have never found a makeup wipe that gets ALL my makeup off-there is always some residual left–at least these foaming pads get the job done the first time.

RoC says:
In just 1 week the appearance of fine lines is reduced, skin tone and texture is improved. After 4 weeks, signs of photo-aging appear diminished. After 12 weeks the appearance of wrinkles and pores is diminished.

 But wait there’s more….

What if looking ten years younger was possible with the click of a mouse? The good news is, it is…

RoC® Skincare is offering Prime Beauty readers the opportunity to get ten years back to the look of their skin with a complete transformation through its “You and Improved” Challenge.

Starting today, you can watch the evolution of four everyday women who have already taken the challenge to make a change in their lives, starting with their skin (and the RoC® RETINOL CORREXION® line of products) in a series of short videos on the RoC Facebook page. From there, you can enter for a chance to be one of four women who win a trip to New York City to experience their very own head-to-toe makeover and photo shoot with celebrity fashion stylist Marcellas Reynolds and New York City dermatologist Dr. Erin Gilbert! So fun!!

Entering the challenge is simple…we want women to tell us why they want to look ten years younger by submitting either a video or written essay with photo by May 17th. RoC® will announce 25 finalists in June with the winners being determined by RoC® Facebook fans’ votes.

So what are you waiting for? Go visit  theRoC Facebook page to learn more and take the first step on their journey to becoming You and Improved!

  1. Good news on the RoC front. They picked a wonderful blogger to share the news.

Love the idea, and I’ll be following prime beauty to see your results and opinions. One thing that has always made ROC seem more legitimate in their claims is that they do have before and after pictures while most others don’t. For those of us who don’t have Facebook accounts, will they let you repost their photos on Prime Beauty?

I would also be very interested to know if they gave you details on when a person should choose Correxxion and when they should choose the Multi range?
