Launched this summer, Rimmel Volume Flash Scandal Eyes Mascara claims to build volume by 50%. I admit I have pretty strict criteria for mascaras. Surprisingly, ScandalEyes met quite a few of my must-haves.
The formula is lightweight and is ”wet, ” I cannot abide dry mascara. It’s very good at lengthening and doesn’t clump or flake. don’t use more than two coats though or it will clump. The brush is HUGE, like on steroids HUGE. I don’t care for these super fat brushes, they are supposed to capture every lash but I find them to be unwieldy and difficult to use.
I’ve been using ScandalEyes for a week and so far my lashes are not stiff or crunchy. That is my biggest complaint with drugstore mascaras. As for volume, not so much. It does give good length but my lashes are very long after using RevitaLash.
PROS:
- good formula
- gives good length
- price
CONS:
- Ginormous brush which is difficult to use
- no separation of lashes
- very little volume
- too much mascara comes out of the tube
Overall: I would use this mascara in a pinch but not for regular everyday use, I do not like the mega brush.
