Today’s Frugal Friday is a guest post from the fabulous Marcia of Beauty Info Zone. Marcia found some awesome gel liners at the drugstore.
I’m an eyeliner fanatic. When I recently misplaced my beloved Bobbi Brown Chocolate Shimmer Gel eyeliner I needed another brown shade to replace it. Into the eyeliner drawer I went and there I saw my Physician Formula’s Shimmer Strips Cream Liners. For $10.95 you get 3 nicely sized pots stacked up that are chosen for your eye color. I chose Glam Brown Eyes but since there was a BOGO ½ sale going on I also bought Glam Hazel Eyes.
These cream eyeliners make me wonder why I continue to buy the more expensive version. They are fabulous. The formula is extremely creamy and the liner glides on more smoothly than many other brands. They last just as long too since they are water and smudge resistant. Physician’s Formula says they give 24 hour wear but hopefully you’ll take off your eye makeup when you go to bed! There’s even a small useful brush that comes in the package.
Brown Eyes contains a very dark brown, a beautiful purple, and a creamy black. Hazel Eyes contains a dark taupe brown, a shade they call pink but is actually a slightly reddish purple once it’s on your eyes, and black. You can also purchase these in Glam Blue Eyes and Glam Green Eyes. If you haven’t discovered gel eyeliners then this is the way to start. If you have discovered them but haven’t tried PF’s version you need to remedy that immediately. Your money goes exceptionally far with these making them not only a frugal find but a steal!
