I told you that Marcia’s Manicures would be back with more Maybelline nail polish and here I am with one more of the many I’ve purchased. These not only fit in perfectly with Prime Beauty’s Frugal Friday but they are terrific at any price. For $4.19 retail at CVS they are a treat I can enjoy just about anytime.
Maybelline has several metallic shades and I went straight for the gold. No use fooling around when I can try to win first place. Bold Gold is a bright, almost brassy gold. It applies like a dream which isn’t always typical for a metallic I do find that my nails need to be well prepared and as smooth as possible with a polish like this. It’s best to start with a ridge filler base coat even though that can dull a polish.
It’s inevitable to see some brushstrokes with this finish but surprisingly they aren’t bad with Bold Gold. I have to really examine my nails to see the strokes. After applying a top coat my nails look ready for my Olympic performance for Nail Polish.
If you haven’t checked out these new Maybelline Color Show Nail Lacquers it’s definitely time to do so. They are the cutest bottles that are filled with a terrific formula. The stem on the brush is a little short but it’s still easy for me to work with this since the brush is full and applies well. Since I’m winning the gold medal with Bold Gold, I’ll let you go for the silver with Silver Stunner. We’re both sure to triumph.
Very pretty…the brush strokes aren’t bad at all on this and usually gold is one of the worst for that.
