And now it’s our turn! We at Prime Beauty are thrilled to present this stunning set of Peace and Love Language earrings from Peace & Love Jewelry by Nancy Davis. They are available in English, French and Italian and I have the English and French versions to give away to two lucky Prime Beauty readers!
Valentine’s Day is not only for couples. It’s all about love and love comes in many forms and packages. If you’ve been reading this blog for a while (shame on you if you haven’t), you know I am divorced and not have been in a relationship for quite some time. That doesn’t mean I can’t have a Valentine! It could be my sister who has always been my support system, my best friend, my daughter or even my dog. Let’s face it though, Prime Beauty is my real Valentine; I’ve watched it grow infancy to toddlerhood and now elementary school kid. Since a blog would be nothing without its readers, I’ve decided that my dear readers will be my Valentine this year and this giveaway is dedicated to YOU.
Our good friend Nancy Davis, owner and designer of Peace & Love Jewelry has generously donated these earrings to Prime Beauty for a Valentines giveaway. Nancy is a beautiful and strong woman who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at the age of 33. Her doctors advised her to go home, go to bed and wait for the disease to take its toll. As a mother of three, and learning that there was no cure, Nancy instead founded Race to Erase MS (Race), an organization dedicated to finding a cure for MS. Race to Erase MS holds an annual gala which has raised over 46 million in the last 23 years for MS research.
Nancy also created Peace & Love Jewelry, a collection favored by celebrities and carried throughout the country. She has allocated a portion of proceeds from the Peace & Love collection to the Nancy Davis Foundation for Multiple Sclerosis’ Center Without Walls. I can’t think of a more appropriate message in today’s world.
“The heart with peace sign Peace & Love™ which I developed right after 9/11 has become such an important symbol of what we all desire in our country and truly all over the world. No matter who you are or where you live, whatever your religion, political views, beliefs, sex, or age we all deep down inside of us long very simply for Peace & Love. Words to me have always been beautiful and evoke a special feeling when the right words are written, the same as art, they bring warmth and positivity to your life.”
The earrings definitely reinforce the beautiful message by spelling out Peace and Love. Made in silver, the words are written in stylized block letters with a white topaz in between each letter. White topaz has the look of diamonds without the big price! They move beautifully on the ear and have such an innate beauty while imparting an important message. Wearing these gorgeous earrings you will not only make a statement but you will be helping to find a cure fo MS. You can dress them down with skinny jeans, a tee-shirt, and boots or wear them for a special occasion and be fashion forward at any event.
Nancy pays such attention to detail in her designs: she has designed these earrings with a convertible back so they can be worn pierced or non-pierced. I have pierced ears but use the lever to give a little extra support and to keep the heart flush to my ear. The lever also makes them ultra comfortable to wear.
The French version of the Peace and Love Language earrings are very sophisticated. I can imagine wearing them and people asking what the words mean, giving me the opportunity to explain both the message and how they can help Erase MS. Paix = Peace in French, Amour = Love
Nancy will be showing these for the first time at her Valentines Bloomingdales trunk show in Sherman Oaks, California on Saturday, Feb. 11. Bloomingdales is giving a percentage of sales to Race To Erase MS.
I have one set of Peace and Love Language earrings in English and one set in French to giveaway. These exquisite earrings have a retail value of $336 each! Must be 18 years old and reside in the US.
