evo is an innovative, professional hair and beauty product manufacturer from Australia that specializes in gimmick-free products that are honest and give great results. The packaging is fun and original: each product has a cheeky description with a humorous name making me laugh our loud!  The evo® = TRUTH + BEAUTY + JUSTICE

“born from a desire to produce an exclusive salon range (and not sell it as the answer to life, love and other woes), evo steps outside the normal realm of truth-stretching invention in a ‘wake up and smell the coffee’ crusade of twisted honesty – designed to make people think. and so comes the catch phrase – saving ordinary humans from themselves™” Inside bottles of evo that are bursting with personality, you’ll find luxurious products that are sulphate, paraben, DEA, TEA andpropylene glycol free; products that give professional results while respecting the environment.

Made from the finest globally-sourced ingredients, evo® hair care has luxurious, high quality products that are fun and even better, effective. The people at evo® are extremely generous and I got to try lots of products. I am so impressed with them, I will definitely be repurchasing and lemme tell you, that doesn’t happen often!

icon welder hot tool shaper ($25) – you like power tools; you like getting creative and exercising your machine reflex upon your head; but alas, your late night bbqing sessions are causing the ends to fray; the answer could be simple–a little lack of lubricant.

Since I started wearing my hair curly, I’m using hair tools every day and they get HOT causing my hair to dry out, especially on the ends. This thermal spray protects my hair from hot tools and humidity. When sprayed on dry hair, it also helps hold my curls in place AND helps protect from UV damage. I section off my hair and spray a little icon welder from mid length to ends and then curl away.

liquid rollers curl balm ($25) – evo liquid rollers gives pride back to your beautiful curls that hung dry and lonely since the last time you singed the beeheezers out of them.

This is one of my favorite products in the line. It’s very moisturizing  and helps hold my curls in place while reducing those pesky stray hairs that stick up in my part—I HATE them! Also gets rid of flyaways; always a problem with my fine hair.

water killer dry shampoo ($25) – like a sofa that turns into a bed, or a water-finding stick that you can throw to your dog, this two-in-one dry shampoo and styling powder will literally make your day.

Love this fabulous smelling dry shampoo. You may think all dry shampoos are the same, but trust me they are NOT! Some leave a gritty feel in my hair, some are sticky, some leave a white residue (I have enough gray hair thank you very much), and some leave my fine hair flat as a crepe. Notice I didn’t say pancake? Because pancakes can be fluffy and my hair is nowhere near fluffy.

Water killer is a two-in-one dry shampoo and styling spray that makes hair feel and smell fresh again. It has a lovely scent, sprays in a fine mist,  gives volume when sprayed at the roots, helps prevents damage and saves time and water. This is the first dry shampoo that doesn’t leave my scalp and hair feeling dirty or gritty and really does refresh the hair! It’s also adds texture to my fine hair making in fluffy to prevent the dreaded FS–flathead syndrome.

ritual salvation care shampoo ($24) – your hair is your friend, treat it right and you’ll be on your way to mastering your destiny and becoming that person you always dreamed of being…

This is the only product I tried that I am not crazy about. I believe it does what it says: it’s a treatment shampoo to cleanse and repair hair; helping to protect hair colour. I just think I need to use too much of it to make my hair and scalp feel really clean. As is common with sulfate free shampoo, it doesn’t lather a lot, but I still like the squeaky clean feeling and I don’t it with this. I will say my hair is very soft and the color bright after using this shampoo.

mane prescription protein treatment ($25) – the shock tactic that’ll cure your ills, the psychiatrist for split ends, the Swedish prescription for lasting body, the reincarnator to bring the dead and broken back from the grave.

This may be my favorite of the whole line. This treatment product is a protein reconstructor to repair and strengthen the hair while preventing  hair breakage and fading of colour. I noticed my dry split ends were softer and less frizzy after just one time of using mane prescription! My hair is healthy, more manageable, less frizzy and the color bright and shiny. My hair feels like silk—I can’t quit running my fingers through it which is making it difficult to type this!

the great hydrator moisture mask ($25) – this product is like a patient friend, gently combing out the knots in your hair with a thousand strokes of a brush while another friend lays petals upon the ground to soften your walk to the morning bus.

I want friends like this! This mask restores moisture and smooth’s hair,  greatly improving manageability. It conditions, enhances shine and reduces frizz. I would say it is much like mane prescription but on steroids.

Bottom Line: Evo hair care products are amazing! I love the luxurious formulas and clever packaging, but more importantly the results! By the way, I’d love to see a hair care product for unruly hair named Oh Behave! a la Austin Powers!
