CosmoProf 2017 Beauty Finds!

CosmoProf is a Cosmetics Trade Show only for professionals and not open to the public. I’ve been invited for many years and this year I decided I wasn’t going to miss out on the fun. It was held at the convention center in the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas and boy was it hot! Hot as in 111º AND hot as in lots of new products!

Cosmoprof North America, CPNA, 2017, Las Vegas, NV

The convention center is HUGE and I walked for miles for 3 days! My feet were wrecked by the end of the show but my bags were full of great new products to share with you and my head was filled with ideas! Plus, I got to meet so many fabulous beauty bloggers that I had only known from the internet and was introduced to some new people too!

Me, Krystal (Polish Galore), Sissi (beauty4free2u) & Shelley (Polarbelle)

For some unknown reason, my IPhone wasn’t getting service a lot of the time so I didn’t take as many pictures and I should have. This post is just a quick overview of a few booths and products I visited, more to come!

Y’all know how much I love and adore the Voloom Petite (review here) right? Well, owner Patty remembered me–it’s always nice to hear “hey Prime Beauty”. She is coming out with a new version of the Voloom called Rootie for the roots! It’s a slimmer version meant o give you more volume at the roots for fuller hair and will launch in October. I can’t wait!! Patty did Deb’s hair (No Nonsense Beauty)–here is the before and after and it literally took less than 5 minutes!

Vintage Cosmetics invited me to their darling booth. They have beauty tools and accessories and the packaging is so sweet and well…. vintage! Look for them at Ulta Beauty!

ECRU is not a new brand (though it’s new to me) but they have an awesome new Velvet Air Lipstick that transforms from a satin finish to matte in one swipe so it’s like getting 2 lipsticks in 1! The packaging is elegant and sleek with a magnetic top and there are 10 shades available. Dee Deluca-Matto gave me this Red Brick shade to try.

Style The Runway is a new hair care line of 11 intermixable styling products for every type of hair. Created by power duo Woody and Amy Michleb, they are best recognized by their success creating designer runway looks in Canada, Miami, New York and LA. The packaging is to-die-for featuring artists renderings and imagery. Each product name makes it relatable to the results: High Heels, a volumizing Spritzer, Fresh Pressed, a blow-dry lotion, Overdressed, a firm hold spray. I will be getting samples and doing reviews so hold tight!

Manna Kadar launched her signature cosmetics line n 2012. I have only tried a gloss from the line that I got in an Ipsy bag but I loved it so much I wanted to see what other goodies the brand had to offer. Turns out they have a full line of products including this brand new Paris Dream Palette inspired by Manna’s city of birth, Paris. I cannot wait to dig into this adorable palette full of 5 eyeshadows, blush, highlighter and bronzer.

Raw Spirit Fragrances are so unique and beautiful. Raw Spirit is the continuation of an incredible journey that began with our collaborative art project, Nomad Two Worlds, taking us all over the world, from the Australian outback, to the mountains of Haiti, to the Florida Everglades. It’s a brand born out of experiencing the unique spirits of some of the world’s oldest communities. They work with Indigenous and marginalized communities, either directly or through partnerships, to sustainably source rare and unique natural ingredients for their fragrances. From these ingredients, they create high quality, luxury fragrances that not only smell incredible—they also create economic opportunities for the communities from which they source. Namibian model and wife of Adam Levine, Behati Prinsloo believes in the project and company so much she has donated her time and efforts to become the face of Raw Spirit for free, hence the gorgeous photos on the packaging.

The fragrances run the gamut from soft to spicy and are complex and luxurious. Part of the proceeds go to whichever projects are associated with that scent. I was so impressed!!

There are seven fragrances available as well as ‘discover sets’ rollerballs of the various countries: Australia, Haiti and the US. Raw Spirit is available online at Ulta Beauty!

As I was running to an appointment, the luscious scents coming from Soapy Bliss Bath & Body Bakery MADE me stop! I was in a hurry and could only drop off my card and tell Elexsis McCarthy how cute her booth was, I didn’t even have time to snap a pic! To my surprise, a few days later a package full of bath goodies arrived at my door. Talk about customer service! Elexsis is the creator of the Original MakeUp Eraser and she is expanding her company by bringing new revolutionary products to the marketplace that compliment the MakeUp Eraser. Soapy Bliss is one such brand. They make scrubs, body butters, Truffle Butters (exfoliating lotion bars), Bathtub Candy, bath melts disguised as yummy candies complete with a candy box, Cupcake Bath Bombs and Lotion Push-Up Pops! I also received the Cellu-Cup, a little massage tool made from silicone. Fully automatic (no power needed), it allows you to recreate at home and at your own pace, the famous “skin pinch and roll technique” from the Physiotherapist or the beauty therapist. You need to bear in mind that the “skin pinch and roll” technique is the only efficient technique recognized by professionals to fight cellulite.

With its mechanical action, Cellu-cup helps the lipolysis (degradation of fat cells in the body) and removes the “orange-peel” effect from your skin. This technique is non-invasive and safe. It adapts to whatever the type of cellulite: fat, aqueous, mixed or fibrous. Unbreakable and portable so you can take it anywhere.  I’ll let you know if it works in a review soon, I may a case or two of these!

Naked Princess is an unusual brand in that they started off as a lingerie and loungewear line and branched out to beauty and body collections. They call themselves a boudoir lifestyle brand and they are located in the neighboring state of Montana! This is an ultra luxe brand and it shows in everything they do.

“Naked Princess encourages women to embrace their femininity through the empowering daily ritual of boudoir. We believe that boudoir isn’t just a space, but also a state of mind; a lasting confidence that can only be attained through unapologetic self care.”

The loungewear and lingerie is stunning, I give up a kidney to have one of their gorgeous maxi gowns. Their beauty offerings include lip glosses and kits, hand and body creams, fragrance oils, boudoir sprays, candles and these darling beauty essentials and boudoir kits for $72.

Each kit features a Mini Body & Boudoir Spray, Moisturizing Hand Crème and Luxe Shine Lip Gloss all conveniently packaged in a signature Naked Princess pouch for on-the-go pampering. There are currently 3 kits available: Boudoir, Boudoir Beach and Boudoir Las Vegas Strip with a fourth Boudior Slopes coming soon. Find Naked Princess on Amazon.com.

Bio-Extracts is a skincare company from London, England with a fun and unique delivery system for customized skincare. You start with one of four base moisturizers: normal, rich, light or delicate. You then choose from a selection of different ‘booster shots’ to add to the cream for your special skin concerns. The boosters are: anti-oxidant, firming, hydro for hydration, glow boost, pore minimizing boost, clear boost for acne, redness relief and anti-wrinkle. You can add as many boosters as you wish and each booster shot has enough serum to last two months.

I’m pretty sure the woman at the booth told me Bio-Extracts are not in the US yet, but I thought this was a fun way to customize your skin care and wanted to share it with you.

I got to meet the lovely Branka, founder and creative director of LVX Nail Polish. I wish I would have gotten a picture of her–she is adorable and oh, so stylish! Pronounced lux, LVX is the industry’s leading 7 Toxin Free Nail Lacquer. The brand launches runway driven color stories inspired by legendary designers and artists from around the globe. Each season they release the hottest collections by translating prominent runway colors based on emerging trends in high fashion to create custom LVX color palettes. The above pic shows the new colors for fall! Don’t you just LOVE them? That green is stunning, the rusty shade is SO on-trend and the mauve is calling to me.

I hope you enjoyed this peek at CosmoProf 2017. This is just an inking of what I saw, keeping checking back for more beauty
