Coast Pro Professional Styling Iron Makes a Salon Blowout Easy Peasy!

The Coast Pro Professional Styling Iron ($169-189) is the newest invention from Beachwaver. This is the new and improved Coast Pro Styling Iron that combines multiple styling tools into one sleek option! The Beachwaver is the only curling iron that actually works on my hair so I was really excited to try out the Coast Pro! It is available in both ceramic and titanium plates.

I am constantly on a mission quest to find a styling tool that gives my short, fine hair beachy waves. Sarah Potempa’s cult classic Beachwaver is the only one I’ve found to work for me on a consistent basis but it takes for-evah! I love the results but I would like a quicker option. Thank you, Sarah, for the new Coast Pro.

Features of the Coast Pro are:

  • Heat up to 450°
  • Heats up in 17 (count ’em) seconds!
  • Ergonomic handle
  • Memory technology–it reduces heat during non-use and automatically returns to the previous temp when touched. How cool is that???
  • Auto shut off
  • 8 ft swivel cord

What makes the Coast Pro different though are the attachments that act like a round brush! This allows you to style 3 different ways: sleek and straight, S-shaped curls and a loose blowout finish. For straight styles, use the iron by itself without the attachments. For loose curly styles, the attachments are shaped like a round brush for a smooth, silky finish and they are foolproof to use too—just snap them on and off.

For S-shaped waves, section hair and create an S pattern by turning your wrist up and then down while moving towards the ends. For a blowout finish, place attachments on and section the hair. Lift the roots up while turning your wrist under as you glide in one motion toward ends of the hair. I did my own thing by using the attachments, sectioning my hair and placing a section in the plates then wrapping my hair on the outside of the iron. With my fine hair, the S-waves turned out better this way but it was hard to keep the plates closed. My suggestion would be to make a lock so the tw0 plates can be locked together.

The Coast Pro is available in two types of plates depending on your hair type: Titanium, $189, is recommended for curly, coarse or thick hair to tame frizz and add shine, and Ceramic, $169, is ideal for thinner, straighter locks that tend to be less frizzy.

What hair styling tool do you swear by?

  • This looks great! I have super thick and curly hair, so I am always on the look out for something that can handle styling my wild mane.

    • The one I have is titanium which is supposed to be better for thick hair.

  • Janel Berchielli

I love how you can use a hair straightener different ways so that you can either straighten your hair or curl your hair. I have naturally straight hair that seldom hold a curl .

  • My flat iron is about to bite the dust, and I’ve actually been reading reviews on them, trying to find the best one for the money. This is a great looking one! I use mine now for curling and straightening.

    • This one works really well on my fine hair.

  • Cassie Liz

I love curling my hair with a flat iron but it takes so long that I rarely do it! I have the very first GHD I got 15 years ago because I never use it but I’d be keen to give this a try for sure!

    • Wow I’m surprised it has lasted that long!

  • Brandi Puga (Big Fit Fam)

MY FLAT IRON IS GOING ON 11 YEARS OLD AND I MUST ADMIT, IT JUST ISN’T CUTTING IT ANYMORE! I HAVE SEEN A LOT OF PEOPLE CURL THEIR HAIR BEAUTIFUALLY WITH FLAT IRONS AND I AM SO SAD I CAN’T DO SO WITH MINE! I MAY HAVE TO CHECK THIS ONE OUT!

    • This one with the attachments makes it a lot easier.

  • Wow what great curls this gave you and really soft loose ones at that. I rarely ever curl my hair but this is the sort of look I’d go for if I did x

    • I’m not good at doing my hair but this iron helps.

  • My hair does not need this, I have wavy curly hair and its a big FRIZZ!! I need something good to straighten it all out!! Haha. Great post x

  • Pam from Wine and Lavender

I would LOVE this!! I have little to no time in the morning to blow out my hair and this would work perfectly.

  • Journa Ramirez

If I will be given a chance to choose a tool that I could use for styling my hair forever, that would be flat iron!

    • I like this one b/c you can use it as a straight iron or curling iron.

  • Di Hickman

This looks like such an amazing straightener. I need to replace mine and this one looks great.

  • Jeanine @ sixtimemommy.com

This looks lovely. I need to replace all my hair items including my straightener and curling iron I’ve had them so long and just need to get some new

    • I really love this one, I kind of klutzy with hair tools and this one works for me.

  • Jalisa Marie

Flat irons are my middle name during the Fall and Winter due to my natural curls. This is definitely something I will have to try out.

  • NICOLE SHILLINGS

Wow that’s so cool! I’ve been debating about getting a flat iron. I think I’ll check this out.

  • Donah Davila

My friend had been using this one, and I just love how she handles her curls. Styling iron really plays a huge role in having a great hair day.

  • Pretty! I love how this curls! My eight year old daughter is just starting to get into styling tools too so this would be a fun one for us to use together.

  • This looks like an amazing tool! I have to say that I really don’t have a favorite tool right now, I tend to get my hair cut short so I can blow dry and go as quick as possible – seems to be a necessity with three littles.

  • TheMummyToolbox

ooo this looks amazing! I need to get savvy with styling because I am terrible with doing things to my hair, normally I am a ponytail girl :p

  • I have never heard of this brand of flat iron before. I will have to give it a try and see if it can replace my Chi or Hot Tools flat irons.

  • Now this styling iron is something I need to make my hair look fabulous. The Coast Pro made your hair look amazing!

  • TheNewClassy

You cannot beat a good curling iron. It can really make a difference in whether or not you look good or great. This one seems pretty awesome.

  • Rachel Catherine

I’ve never heard of this but I love how your hair looks! So cute! My flat iron always makes it too straight. I need something like this.

  • Brittany Muddamalle

Ooh I need one of these! I have one but it’s super cheap and I feel like it’s getting less hot. I would love to get a new extra hot one so I can curl my hair!
