Quintessential shades, ranging from pink and beige to warm brown and khaki, enhance the complexion and illuminate the face, highlighting a woman’s natural beauty. I’ve been a bit disappointed with Chanel quads lately. The Bird of Paradise for Holiday was just okay. However, when I saw the Kaska Beige eye shadow quad I knew I had to have it.  Ladies, we have a winner! I think the picture from Chanel is very misleading as to the real color of this palette, so here are some of my pics:

These shadows are silky, smooth and pigmented.  The creamy beige and soft chocolate brown on the top left and right are matte. The plum and bronze on the lower left and right are slightly shimmery–I would say they have a  ‘sheen’ as opposed to shimmer.  At first glance this quad might seem similar to the Mystic Eyes quad, but I don’t think so. I like Kaska Beige much better because I think it’s more wearable. There are a myriad of combinations you can create with this quad which makes it more versatile in my opinion. This is a fantastic quad for an everyday polished look, but you can work it at night too.

Value: At $56 this is a splurge. However, these shades are so universal and the quad so versatile, it’s a good value

Overall: A wonderful versatile eye shadow quad of subtle neutrals that can be amped up for night time.  If you missed Beiges de Chanel, don’t miss Kaska Beige!!
