Caudalie Divine Oil

Today’s post is courtesy of Lola’s Secret Beauty Blog. If you haven’t stopped by, you MUST. Lola is a beautiful writer and her reviews are a pleasure to read as you find out right now!

I must preface this review by stating what must be fairly obvious by now: I love oils! I love them for the hair, for the face, and for the body. I could effusively gush over their many merits ad infinitum because I love them so much. That said, as with everything else, not all luxury oils are created equal! There are many that I like, but very few that I love. Let me introduce you to one of my new loves!

Caudalie Divine Oil really is aptly named because everything about this oil is divine! From the smell to the texture, to the way that it effortlessly penetrates the skin, and finally to the way it makes your skin über soft and unbelievably moisturized. I have only tried it on my body and hair, but from the moment that I first tried it I was madly in love. I used it sparingly in my hair and it left my curls bouncy, glossy and beautifully moisturized. I noticed that my body felt silky smooth and softer than you can imagine. What’s more, the scent is so intoxicating that I find myself sniffing my arm all of the time just to get another whiff!
The scent is described as “a subtle fragrance that will make you swoon as it caresses your skin. For the signature note of the fragrance Jacques Cavallier chose the rose, both the Moroccan rose and the Bulgarian rose. A burst of grapefruit and sparkling spicy pink pepper add a freshness to the fragrance while cedar, vanilla, and white musk base notes offer warmth. The composition is modern and infinitely desirable.”
I couldn’t describe the scent better if I tried, but I will say that it is an understatement that the scent makes me swoon! It just resonates with me, and I simply can’t get enough of it. That said, if this particular scent does not resonate with you- then you may want to pass because it does tend to linger.
According to Caudalie, “This dry oil moisturizes, nourishes and enhances the face, body and hair, thanks to its unique formula made with exceptional blend of oils (grape, hibiscus, sesame and argan) combined with our patented anti-oxidant Polyphenols. It envelops the skin with a subtle, floral and sun-kissed fragrance, with woody notes.”
It is a “multi-use miracle oil is ideal for hair, nails, bath, and massages. Divine Oil is a unique alchemy of four extremely fine and evanescent vegetable oils (60 percent of the formula). To ensure that the benefits are truly complete, Divine Oil also features patented antioxidant grape-seed polyphenols and fair trade shea butter.”
Grape Oil is unique because it is “a priceless treasure from the vine, grape oil contains a high concentration of omega 6 and vitamin E which gives it nourishing and regenerating properties.”
Additionally, if you “support the Coeur de Fôret Association by getting hooked on Divine Oil. Caudalie is committed to planting one tree for every bottle sold. By the end of 2012, 150,000 trees will have been planted in the Amazon.” Therefore this isn’t only a product that will make you feel good, but also one that you can feel good about purchasing!
