Cargo Cosmetics Emerald City Swimmables Eye Pencil Set!

Cargo Cosmetics has released their new limited edition Fall/Holiday 2017 Collection called Emerald City, featuring the city and culture of Seattle. In addition to the Emerald City Eyeshadow Palette (review tomorrow), the collection also includes the Emerald City Swimmable Eye Pencil Set. This 4-pc. set is inspired by the forests and beaches of Seattle and the surrounding area.

Cargo’s Swimmable Eye Pencils are among the best on the market for being smudge-proof and water resistant. They boast an ultra-creamy formula that glides on effortlessly for precise lining. They are highly pigmented and stay put through sun, sweat, swim and tears!

Truth be told, it’s been a hot minute (actually more like years) since I’ve purchased an eyeliner. This may have something to do with it.

However, when I saw this Emerald City set, the colors and the fabulous price of only $25 for FOUR FULL -SIZED EYE PENCILS got me. I picked up the set immediately.

The set includes:

  • Black Sea – a deep matte black
  • Pebble Beach -a rich matte brown
  • Shelly Beach – a stunning shimmery deep green
  • Dorado Beach – a shimmery gold

Shelly Beach is the standout for me.  It’s a shimmery deep teal green, next would be Dorado Beach, a pretty, shimmery gold. It’s always nice to have a dark brown eye pencil–it is softer than a harsh black on older eyes. Black Sea is your typical matte black. I wish brands would stop putting a black liner in EVERY set. Let’s face it, most of us have plenty of black liners, I myself had 5,492 at last count.

Those of you with older eyes, remember if you shy away from brighter eyeshadows, a colored eyeliner is a great and inexpensive way to jazz up your look. Just make sure you choose a smudge-proof brand like Cargo.

Bottom Line: I have LOTS of eyeliners, but I’m still glad I picked up this set. I will use all the colors. Even though I may have duplicates, the Cargo Eye Pencils stay on and don’t smudge so I will use them more. This set will also make a great gift for a fabulous price!

    • Yes, but this collection is excluded, but it’s only $25!

  • Those are beautiful colors. I’ve been looking for a new eye liner set that won’t come off. I’ll have to look into these.

    • These won’t come off until you TAKE them off, promise!

  • I feel like Cargo is a really underrated brand!

    • I agree Jen, tomorrow I’ll have the Emerald City palette and I adore it!

The green is outstanding, I think that can be one of the hardest shades to get right and Cargo did it.

    • Definitely, it’s not too glittery and the color is spot on!

  • That emerald green is to die for and the shimmer is super pretty too!

  • FabZilla_Kath

Cargo is underrated but they do have really nice makeups

    • I think so too, they are just as good as LORAC!

  • I love the colors because they’re also festive and they’re perfect for the upcoming season and especially during the Holidays! I should totally get these for me and my daughter!

    • The price is what you would pay for 1 eyeliner with some brands so it’s a good value too!

  • Rachel

I would love to use the gold one. It looks so good! I like that it comes out true to what you would expect.

  • Shelley Polarbelle

I saw your close up pic on Instagram and I almost died from the beauty!

    • Haha these colors would look great on you!

  • Reesa Lewandowski

I really love the chunkier pencils. These are so bright, I love it!

  • A new palette from Cargo? Where have I been? I want it!

  • Aish Padihari

Cargo is a new cosmetic brand? Good to know. I’m always looking for good cosmetics

    • No it’s not a new brand, just underrated!

  • Eileen

I have not heard about this brand. Maybe because I am not a frequent user of make up. The colors look really vibrant though. I will ask my daughter, maybe she has a few of these items already.

  • Krystle Cook

This set has absolutely beautiful colors. I love the green and the golds together.
