Best Sellers from Erborian Korean Skin Therapy!

Erborian, “Herbs of the Orient”, was born from the meeting of two women with a passion for beauty. Hojung Lee, a Korean scientist, dreams of sharing the world of Korean beauty and beauty products with women across the globe. Katalin Berenyi, a true beauty globetrotter, tirelessly travels the planet, seeking out the beauty secrets and rituals of the countries she visits. Hojung Lee is Korean and Katalin Berenyi is French so Erborian is the perfect combination of French chic and innovation!

Based on traditional Korean skincare practices with a modern twist, Erborian products are formulated to help create your best canvas for makeup application (or for a makeup-free look!), catering to your skin’s daily needs with primers, cleansers, masks and moisturizers.

The brand’s newest launch is a multitasking illuminating primer called Glow Crème.  This triple threat product can be used for three different purposes: a primer, a highlighter, and an illuminator. Highlighter, in this case, means to be used only on the high points of the face, while an illuminator is meant to be smoothed all over. The iridescent milky formula is enriched with licorice extract, to help brighten, beautify and moisturize, while also helping to smooth the skin. The level of moisture I get from this cream is incredible and the subtle pearlescent effect gives my skin a luminous radiant glow. THIS is the kind of glow we over 40 women crave. It has a subtle dewy sheen that sparkles a teensy bit when it hits the light but doesn’t look greasy–a pet peeve of mine. After so many years of trying to sop up my greasy skin, I don’t want anything that looks remotely slick or shiny. Glow Crème imparts a lovely grown-up radiance.

I use it as an illuminator/primer under my foundation. You can also mix it with your foundation or just use to highlight. The silky texture makes it easy to spread and it absorbs quickly and easily. Though it promises to create a blur effect, I have other primers (Urban Decay Optical Illusion) that work better for masking imperfections.

There a perfumey floral scent that doesn’t hang around but I need to mention it for those with fragrance sensitivities.  Available in 0.5 oz. for $18 and 1.5 oz. for $42. In all honesty, Glow Créme is the BEST illuminator/primer I’ve found for older skin. Now I get the frenzy over Korean skincare !! Highly recommended!

Another fabulous product I got to try from Erborian is their Solid Cleansing Oil ($39). This cleansing balm has a fresh, earthy scent with a balm-like feel. Use the enclosed plastic spatula to spread on dry skin; the balm will transform into an oil when warmed up by your skin to help dissolve impurities. When water is applied, it becomes a frothy lotion to cleanse skin and leave behind a protective film. If you are using the traditional Korean double cleansing method, this would be your first cleanse. The base is made of coconut and sunflower oil and it’s enriched with seven Korean herbs—green tea, licorice, Japanese knotweed, skullcap, rosemary, chamomile, and centella Asiatica—that have long been used in traditional Korean beauty rituals.  This product does a great job of melting makeup off (even eye makeup) while hydrating skin. I’ve been trying a LOT of cleansing balms lately and this is by far my favorite. It doesn’t feel heavy or greasy and my skin feels SO completely clean and refreshed yet hydrated. A+

Bottom Line: these two best sellers from Erborian have me hooked on the brand and I want to try more! Both the primer and the cleansing oil are the best I’ve tried to date and are PERFECT for over 40 beauties!
