One of the newest launches is a sequel to the best selling liquid Shimmering Skin Perfector. Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed ($38) is a creamy powder luminizer that is like crushed pearls captured in a compact.

BECCA’s unique process blends pigments with proprietary liquid binders instead of the traditional method which only mixes and compresses dry ingredients. The result is an unmatched creamy texture with truly balanced color dispersion.

I was able to try Opal, a beautiful warm peachy gold. Don’t be afraid of Opal in the pan beauties, I know it looks frosty, but when applied lightly and buffed out, it produces a polished, natural looking radiance.

The texture is simply divine. It is extremely fine-milled and incredibly creamy; it really feels more like a cream than a powder. On my fair skin, Opal brings a natural candlelit barely-there glow to my face. A little bit over blush, above eyebrows (for a brow lift) and you’ve found that delicate ethereal balance.

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed is available in three shades:

  • Moonstone – shimmering golden champagne
  • Opal – warm shimmering peachy gold
  • Topaz – a shimmering bronze

Bottom Line: with a light hand and some buffing, Opal is very beautiful on warm complexions. For cooler skin tones, I suggest Moonstone. Although I do really like the pressed skin perfectors, I still prefer the liquid versions so I can mix them with my foundation. Read my review of the liquid version of Moonstone here.

  1. I haven’t tried this, but want to. What a gorgeous highlight!

  2. That looks scrumptious. :)

  3. I am happy to see that there is a pressed powder version. I like the SSPs but don’t reach for liquid luminizers often…

  4. That has just the right amount of shimmer.
