I adore the look of highlighters but so often they are too glittery, too grainy or too shimmery. I want a youthful dewy glow, not a metallic one.

My favorite way to use it is mixed with my foundation–just a dab mixed in and your skin looks radiant and softer–like looking through a soft focus lens. Most of us over 40 could use that! I’ve also used it instead of a moisturizer; in other words, layered all over my face underneath my foundation which works too. Becca Shimmering Skin Perfectors can be used alone to highlight the brow bone, along cheekbones, on temples, on the cupids bow of the lip–anywhere you want or need to be a little extra dewy. If you don’t need a lot of coverage, use this as your moisturizer, dot concealer where you need it and set with a loose powder. The texture of the skin perfectors is wonderful; it literally glides on the skin. I much prefer this to any powder highlighters or Benefit HighBeam which I had been using. Becca Skin Perfectors are so natural looking; no one can tell you weren’t born with radiant beaming skin.
I had almost (I said almost) given up on highlighters until my package of glow arrived from Ammie. She was kind enough to provide me with samples of three of the five shades. She sent Pearl, a pearlized white, Opal (my personal favorite), a peachy golden shade that bring a warmth to my pale skin, and Rose Quartz, a pink pearl. I love them all so much I’m still debating which to purchase when my sample runs out! Pearl is a good starting point and will work on all complexions, in my opinion Opal leans towards warm and Rose Quartz would be suitable for cooler skin. If you can sample all the shades to see which work with your skintone. I adore the look of my skin after using Opal–I have a candlelit “glow from within” and I feel pretty. Pearl works superbly for highlighting and Rose Quartz is perfect for cheekbones.

Best For: Women over 40 who want a dewy “lit from within” complexion, well suited for drier skin, probably not for oily skin types.
Overall: The ideal solution to getting that dewy, youthful glow for women over 40 without glitter, shimmer or overt sparkle. A multi-tasking product containing anti-aging ingredients good for your skin. I would get a sample and test if you have oily skin–it may be too rich for you.
